I'm pretty damn sure that a woman can actually give birth at 25 weeks in now times, sometimes even earlier [though that's like one of the worst things to happen with a pregnancy next to miscarriage and pre-eclampsia].
 
You don't get the point Xenon, do you ? You can justify killing only if you couldn't prevent it. For example, if you go lay on your bed and roll over you'll most likely kill some really tiny lice too, but can you do something about it ? No.

As for abortion, the choose whether to kill a human being is up to you, but abortion is not justified just by that, because you most of the time can prevent it.

And now you're saying that it's fine to kill a being just because it doesn't feel it. That's nonsense. It doesn't mean that because someone can't feel pain it's alright to kill it. The, you can also say it's justified just killing someone in a coma, for example. Because they don't feel anything anyway.

People do kill people in coma, when they decide that this person most likely won't wake up.

I'm not going to argue with you anymore. If you want to think that killing an undeveloped foetus (that is hardly even alive) is an act of cruelty, so be it. I just wonder whether you've considered poor upbringing, severe disability, young parenthood and rape when casting your view.
 
Think of it this way - if you were a woman and you've been told that you were pregnant with a child that is so deformed that it can't even eat or breathe, and that it'll cost thousands for private operations that can only do little at a time, would you abort it y/n?

Actually yes, if the baby could only be kept alive with machinery and would suffer horrible pain i think that abortion is justified. Since it's life will only considt of having pain, it's better for him/her to just prevent that horrible life.

Yeah, yeah. I'm really tired of discussing abortion, so let's stop it. We never seem to reach any agreement anyway.

How do you feel about Creationism? Should it be taught in public schools? Why/why not?

It's kind of amusing. We'd have a great laugh in History class of they tried too teach us it.

(Ireland is nowhere near as Catholic as the stereotype btw.)
 
Well, I have realised that there are enormous gaps in the evolutionary theory, and thus Creationism must be true. It all makes so much more sense! Instead of naturally evolving, we were magically created by an omnipotent designer! It's the only logical explanation for life, really! Take a look at this video, it really opened my eyes to the lies of the evil Evolutionists:

Both should be thought, children should have the choice to make up for themselves what to believe in, if it's creationism, Evolution, or the almighty cheese creating the entire universe from a sandwich theory.
 
Creationism should not be taught as an option to Evolution in a science class. Evolution is a biological fact. The Theory of Evolution has been tested rigorously for the last 150 years, and nobody has been able to falsify it. Creationism and Intelligent Design, on the other hand, have no evidence to support their claims, and they never do any proper research to try and confirm their hypothesis. All they do is making straw man arguments against the Theory of Evolution (like the "crocoduck argument"), and point out every little gap in the fossile record and go "Look a gap! That disproves your theory hahahaha!!!" I have never seen a Creationist produce any evidence for their hypothesis, and I highly doubt that they ever will.

In a science class you should teach science. If there actually were two competing theories that explained the diversity of life, then obviously children should be taught about both, but that is not the case with the Theory of Evolution. The reason Creationism shouldn't be taught in science class is because it is not science. It's purely based on old superstition and dogma, and there's no evidence for it.

Anyone wanna play the "Evolution is just a theory" card now, so that I can destroy that straw man argument too?
 
Schools should be secular. What's the point in teaching a belief? The child will eventually grow to understand Christianity and its reasoning so effectively it's just a waste of teaching time. I believe Creationism should be taught as a theory, and children should understand the scientific (or not ahaa) concepts behind it, but schools certainly shouldn't hoodwink young children into believing in something they can't even comprehend.

And just to quickly bring something up briefly:

I'm not flaming you here, but surely the good reasoning behind abortion outweighs 'justification'? I'm fed up of this word being thrown around like the whole subject evolves around it; it simply doesn't. I understand you are aware there are exceptions, but you really should realise priorities.
