Err, I've heard something about Polukus or something...
Would this be what you were talking about?

Ly: Have you ever heard of Polokus?
Rayman: Um... no.
Ly: He's the Spirit of the World. His power are immense.

"His power are immense"... right.

Anyone care to take screenshots of that delightful Engrish in Rayman DS?

And lol that PSP2 looks like the top screen is glued on the bottom bit :P

You get similar errors in Beyond Good and Evil and Rayman 3, actually, just because from what I understood from when it was explained to me, some words in French are the same whether they are singular or plural, so the translators could have gotten slightly confused.

I'll try, but trying to play the game using an emulator is near impossible. I'll see how I go.

EDIT: *puff, pant, wheeze...* Well, it took 2 hours (yes 2 hours!) to get to the right spot in the Fairy Glade, but I finally took the screenshot. I tried to go further in the game after that and the game froze. Also, more glitches occur if you use an emulator.

So, here's the screenshot.

I was disappointed when I got this game. Don't ask why, but I thought it was an indirect sequel to Rayman 2, not a remake. :|

On ubi.com they originally called the game "Pirate Panic" so I thought it would be different.

Yeah.
You would be lead to believe that it is a different game, especially since the artwork of Rayman in the manual AND on the box is Rayman 3 style.

Perhaps it was a scheme to try and sell more copies of the game.

Yeah, I always assumed it was a new game until I looked it up online. Anyways I was expecting Rayman DS to be absolute shit, but it wasn't. It's cool they were able to port a 3D Rayman game to DS, albeit with many problems but you just have to be patient with it...

I agree. Now, if only they could do the same thing with the original Super Smash Bros. ...

Good thing they decided not to, but Ubisoft still ended up doing the same dirty trick when they released Prince of Persia Two Thrones as Rival Swords on the Wii. Apparently many people who were not aware of the small PSP port (which actually had new content and not waggle controls) and thought it was a whole new Prince of Persia adventure.

Rayman DS tricked a little in the cover, but if a person sees the trailer and the back part of the box, understands it's actually R2.

They already ported Rayman 1 to DSiWare.

Something that really annoyed me in Rayman DS: In the prison ship the "orchestra hit" midi sound when on the flying shell didn't have dynamics. Instead of it going BAAaoww, it went BAAAAAA-. Weirdly enough, I actually got it to work if you fly directly into the triangle purple vent-obstacle thing at the beginning of the flying part right before you turn at the top-right.

You're post would make more sense to me if it resembled this:

Uh - yeah. I admire your "enthusiasm", but do you really think many people will have any idea what you're saying? I sure don't.
