[RIPPING] 2D Rayman Sprites and Backgrounds

Nope, StaceyW's right!

It's only in the PS1 version (to the best of my knowledge), and it's the intro pic for the concept demo of Rayman 2 and what it was originally going to be like.

Hehe... it's quite cool.
 
I wish I could just be bothered to get the latest version of Game Maker and Make a fan game using the BETA Rayman 2 level sprites. I'm lazy ya know. :lol:

Uh... It appears as soon as the 2D demo starts. :?

The only way that it couldn't appears is if you're using epsxe. For some reason, it removes screen transitions and loading screens from Rayman 2.

I still have them though.
Still, piecing them together is a real pain... I might put them online so someone else can do it though.
 
i could do it, i have plenty of free time. the pieces are just a few pixls wide right?

You think you can make a game using only the sprites from a single level? :roll:

You lack even a basic understanding of game development...just like FAB...

Of course you can make a game from the sprites from a single level! Just a very boring and repetitious one. :wink:

Anyway, now that you've bumped this topic, I might just start ripping some more... if you guys really want it.
 
Can anyone get that rainbow paint can from the paint world? I did a long time ago (and I was going to insert it into the mapper tileset), but alas, it's somewhere on my backup discs hidden from my sight. And I'm not going to start from scratch just to get to it! It's a pain running my old games anyhow, I would install windows 98 but my obscure computer doesn't have drivers for such an old OS. I remember using the mapper in XP, but, it doesn't work anymore on my new computers.

I am somewhat annoyed that they didn't add all of the sprites into the mapper, there were some really cool ones too. There was a unique tree in the jungle, the grass in band land etc.
