And that's why hard is fine, but you should never settle for games that aren't so much hard as they are just "fuck you."timoo wrote:I used to, until this:
That's why the first Mario game I really got into was SM64: the Mario game that finally included a HEALTH BAR.

Re: Super Mario Bros
The best Mario games I've played until today are Super Mario 64 (The DS version was even better), Mario Party 3, Mario Kart 64 and DS, Super Mario Bros Deluxe, Yoshi's Island: Super Mario Advance 3, Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga and Paper Mario.

Re: Super Mario Bros
When listing what games you own, what's the point in listing ROMs? I could just go download the ROM of every Mario game and say I own them all.
Re: Super Mario Bros
Well.... if i did, people would think i have A LOT of consoles!!
EDIT: I just buyed Super mario Galaxy!!!

Re: Super Mario Bros
Super Mario Bros 2 was the first game I ever played.
Also, a friend of mine bought the N64 near launch. I played Super Mario 64 with him at least once.
I remember that I was trying one particular level (one that had a large cliff, don't remember the name) over and over but it was too hard for me (as this was my first 3D game, I couldn't even walk straight). He mentioned the final battle against Bowser, and me, loving punishment, demanded to try it instead. And I beat Bowser pretty easily. But then again, Bowser is the easiest thing in the game.

Re: Super Mario Bros
The Super Mario 64 DS is an excelent remake from the original game of N64.
Re: Super Mario Bros
Maybe the graphics are slightly better, but the controls absolutely suck. D:

Re: Super Mario Bros
I've had no problems with SM64DS, but R2 DS was just awful.
