That's why the first Mario game I really got into was SM64: the Mario game that finally included a HEALTH BAR.

You should get Super Mario Galaxy. Definitely one of the best Wii platformers at the moment.

The best Mario games I've played until today are Super Mario 64 (The DS version was even better), Mario Party 3, Mario Kart 64 and DS, Super Mario Bros Deluxe, Yoshi's Island: Super Mario Advance 3, Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga and Paper Mario. :)

When listing what games you own, what's the point in listing ROMs? I could just go download the ROM of every Mario game and say I own them all.

Super Mario Bros 2 was the first game I ever played.

Also, a friend of mine bought the N64 near launch. I played Super Mario 64 with him at least once.

I remember that I was trying one particular level (one that had a large cliff, don't remember the name) over and over but it was too hard for me (as this was my first 3D game, I couldn't even walk straight). He mentioned the final battle against Bowser, and me, loving punishment, demanded to try it instead. And I beat Bowser pretty easily. But then again, Bowser is the easiest thing in the game.

Maybe the graphics are slightly better, but the controls absolutely suck. D:
