So do I. The reasons why Marley hates it are so minor and made me think he was being sarcastic... It's not as good as Rayman Advance or Rayman 3 GBA but I'd say it's better than Hoodlums' Revenge.

Hoodlums' Revenge is odd, and not very good, but at times it is interesting. The cloudy level is sort of like Band Land. The stuff the Teensies say is intriguing. Playing as Globox is...something we haven't seen before. It would have been a great game, if only it was 2D.

It's basically the Sonic 3D of the Rayman franchise, only that the music isn't as awesome.

Did you get past that cloudy level ? I haven't figured it out to date, sadly. It's so confusing.

To be honest, i think Rayman Hoodlums Revenge wasn't all that bad, and isometric made it quite fun. but honestly, it made some levels to hard. Like the one with the boat and the spikey walls. Ouch.

The DS version was just an test.... Ubisoft just took the N64 version... edited it to make touch screen controls and just inserted it on an DS cardridge!!
But there are some really nice 3D games!!
Like Final Fantasy Ring of fates and Echoes of time, and Kingdom Hearts for the ds (i don´t remember the title)

If we're still talking about RHR...I noticed a severe glitch. When you run in a top-left diagonal direction [holding up and left arrow keys], you can't jump, but you can on other directions. I tried it with two emus. This sucks, as I'm trying to research this for the wiki. :/

I doubt that's an EMU or ROM problem, I had that problem with DKC2 - I could run and jump left but not right.
I asked about it here: http://www.dkc-atlas.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=29&t=506

I thought Hoodlum's Revenge was a nice game; you have to give credit to a platformer that lets you play as Globox! I appreciated the return of Begoniax. The one thing I don't like about it is the difficulty of the bosses. Take the Firemonster, for example. You don't even need the powerups! Just throw a charged punch at him, and over 75% of his HP is gone. Once more and he's dead. Reflux was easy as hell too. In Rayman 3, you fight a colossal winged beast while flying in a saucer-like thing. In HR, you fight him in a NORMAL forest-based level with NORMAL, non-boss music. You use the powerups to hurt him and destroy his plumjuice, which for some reason gives him powers. The water is the real threat in the battle, but that's in a lot of other levels. All in all, an OK game. Just easy boss battles.

Tried it on my real GBA game and it seems to work fine. So it's my keyboard right?

I'd say it's keyboard too. Mine one seems to not register more than 3 average keys & 2 arrows at once.

One of the reasons I decided to get R3 on Gamecube was because I couldn't punch or jump while pressing up and right at the same time :mefiant:

Fair enough.

I agree. I know isometric perspective does make it a little bit challenging but that doesn't mean the bosses have to be so easy to beat. I mean, the game was good, but the boss battles were a bit of a non-event.

I've always wondered why that happens. There are some games on my computer that I HAVE to play using my USB controller becuase some of the controls require multiple buttons to be pressed and the keyboard won't let me do that!

Sorry for all the quoting and such. I've been away from the Pirate Community for a fair bit and I'm trying to catch up with everything.

Have you tried getting a gamepad? I did that but some of the buttons didn't work, but it overcame the problem with jumping/punching while moving in any direction. ;)

I have to talk about Rayman himself?
B'oh.. At the Rayman 3 games he seriously needs to comb his hair, and I guess he forgot his arms, legs, and neck..
