But that still doesn't explain how their arms get so long.

I admit that I have no idea whyLachimax wrote:But that still doesn't explain how their arms get so long.

There is no possible explanation.

They have artificial muscles made out of cloth. The black lum inside acts as a brain.

That's obvious! Of course, they're really sub-brains of André, the leader.spiraldoor wrote:They have artificial muscles made out of cloth. The black lum inside acts as a brain.

Re: Hoodlums have too long arms...
I'm not sure what you mean by "sub-brains"...the fact that André is seen shouting at them to wake them up and follow him during one of the cutscenes shows that they don't have a telepathic connection...however, he does seem to be their power-source, or rather, their evil-source, as they all revert back to red lums when André gets scared by Rayman at the end.

I mean the black lums are brainless, and follow André at all costs.spiraldoor wrote:I'm not sure what you mean by "sub-brains"...the fact that André is seen shouting at them to wake them up and follow him during one of the cutscenes shows that they don't have a telepathic connection...however, he does seem to be their power-source, or rather, their evil-source, as they all revert back to red lums when André gets scared by Rayman at the end.

Re: Hoodlums have too long arms...
But I think they don't are brainless. They can play card games and attack Rayman for example. I lolled when saw the picture, but it's deleted now.
Re: Hoodlums have too long arms...
They have IQ... but very low.
One example is on the menu, that you can see "A Hoodlum has succesfuly counted to 4.".

That are more than a computer can! :O
Re: Hoodlums have too long arms...
Black Lums transform into Hoodlums, right? So no Black Lum would need to operate the arms or legs or whatever.

Re: Hoodlums have too long arms...
Well, they use furs or whatever to create those outfits. And then, the game turns stupid, for they suddenly have guns, and can control the whole body.
Re: Hoodlums have too long arms...
...which would suggest there is some transformation process going on.

Re: Hoodlums have too long arms...
Yeah, but that would be a very stupid, ilogical explanation.
Re: Hoodlums have too long arms...
Nah it wouldn't. On the contrary, it would explain a lot of things.

Maybe, but it's a lazy explanation, therefor, a stupid one.

Uhh...no?Xenon wrote:Black Lums transform into Hoodlums, right?
It's made quite clear that Hoodlums are Black Lums wearing suits woven from the fur of those Mawpaw/Bonton things.

Re: Hoodlums have too long arms...
You're right, but the fact that they suddenly have cannons and can control such a large body flawlessly *whatever the word is* that they transform sort of. Which is stupid, lazy, and illogical.

Re: Hoodlums have too long arms...
As I have already speculated, the Hoodlum costumes may contain artificial muscles, woven out of Bonton wool, which the Black Lums can control directly. Their guns could be woven from wool, too. Like a rhino's horn.
Re: Hoodlums have too long arms...
There are far too many flaws for it to be that simple. For instance, why does the woven suit suddenly spiral into nothingness when the Hoodlum is defeated?
