What games are you currently playing?

I got Uncharted 2: Among Thieves and completed it in one go, which took me over eleven hours. What better way to spend Christmas day than with the best game of the year?

I've been playing inFamous as well, and really enjoying it. I got four or five other games too (including Mirror's Edge and Modern Warfare 2) but I haven't played any of them yet (except Fallout 3 [great game], which I got early). I wonder how good MW2 will be without being able to play it online.

Spiral would you kindly stop gloating with Uncharted? Seriously, I can't even be bothered to play it, since the moment I see the name of the game, its immediately followed by '...shows PS3 is the best'. It's tiresome and annoying.

Been playing Borderlands personally. A fun game, although I could do well with some more enemy types and a larger soundtrack. I'm curious to check the DLC though; looks decent enough.

Zelda is being mean to me. :(
I solved alot of difficult puzzles, got a game over and had to start the whole thing over again. Well, the puzzle part, not the whole game of course.

Zelda games are famous because of the puzzles. :D

It reminds me when I played Twilight Princess the first time, I got stuck in one place, until I had to try anything to find out what to do X'D.

Yeah! Finally I beated Red on Pokémon Silver! Now let's collect the 251 PKMN. (I'm already ready for Soul Silver)

I made a single, subdued reference to the game I was currently playing in the "What games are you currently playing?" thread. You think that pointing out the fact that Metacritic rated it as the best game of the year is "gloating"? I don't.

I don't see why you say you "can't even be bothered to play it"... are you that saying you have a PS3 now? In any case, if you really do have an opportunity to play the game, you are foolish to turn it down; you won't find a better gaming experience anywhere else, in my opinion.

And in the hundreds of times I have seen the game's name as I followed its progress over the last year or so, I have never, ever seen it followed by the words "...shows PS3 is the best", or anything to that effect. It makes me wonder what circles of the internet you must frequent to come across such declarations so often; do you read a lot of YouTube comments or something? In the unlikely event that this is not a colossal exaggeration or fabrication, I would advise you not to allow 'fanboy' comments to govern which games you play, or turn down a chance to play the GotY just because someone said that the "PS3 is the best"...

~Borderlands looks cool, by the way. However, I have heard that the single-player campaign isn't so great due to a focus on cooperative multiplayer or something... I may get it sometime, anyway...

Super Mario Bros Wii. It's quite good, I just wish the directional buttons on the Wii Remote weren't so hard and angular, my thumb still hurts from yesterday.

Personally, I think the puzzles in TP should have been harder. The only moment I got stuck was in the forest temple, simply because I thought I couldn't jump over a gap while holding a bomb.

I thought 'M&S at the olympic winter games' might be more fun if I played it against someone, so I went out and got a second nunchuk (or a "fun-chuk" for kiddies because it was the only one in stock -_-). Damn family coming round for new year.

The place where I got stuck was one of the final places of the game, I think it was a flying village...

Was that BioShock reference deliberate, by the way?

I just bought Crysis and Crysis Warhead. So far Crysis has good gameplay but god it requires high specs. Anyone got any experience with this game?

I've played and beat the original Crysis, but never really bothered to install it on my laptop and bring it with me. Shame though, because the only reason I'd see myself playing Crysis now is for all the mods out for it rather than the game itself. Both my laptop (before I took it off and left it behind) and my desktop played it just fine on High/Very High settings, but the gameplay itself is kind of... meh. And it's a little glitchy, and not due to the framerate either. Even on the lowest of specs, I still find instances where you can find cracks in the floor, fall through, and die... enemies get frozen in place... etc. etc. :\

Overall, graphics are astounding. Play it once to see what a good video card, processor, and 4 gb of RAM can do for you, and then put it away except to try out CryEngine 2 mods. Especially since the multiplayer is nothing special. You get a better experience out of the Battlefield games or TF2.

Toned down graphics, though hopefully, some better design choices for gamepad use. That's another thing that annoyed me when I tried playing Crysis with my gamepad (just to see if it played any better or whatever), and then I suddenly find that there's no way to go prone. Why don't they just make it so that double-tapping the crouch button makes you go prone a-la Super Metroid (down x 1 = crouch, down x 2 = morphball) or something? It's like the stupid design choices that were made with Bioshock (Function Keys for Plasmids). Why didn't they give you a key option for the gamepad selection wheel like how Undying dealt with spells?

In terms of Bioshock, I sometimes think they complicated things on purpose for the keyboard & mouse controls just to give the 360 more rep or something. Such bullshit.
