Rayman is back! on iPhone and iPod Touch

It automatically saves :D
First version of R2 to do that.
Only one save file, and I just got my purple lum swinging powerup.

I'm gonna see if anything is in the globox village tunnel.
Hope for the best (DLC minigames :D)

controls are being a narbwhale, my palms are sweaty because i'm excited XD

I'm loling right now, if you fall from a tall height, rayman doesn't take any damage and makes a suffocating noise.

Now doing the last part of the fairy glade, the part with the air currents.

FINISHED THE FARIY GLADE.
Going back to the first level.

A purple lum to cross isn't there....
But there's gotta be some way!
I'll play the game normally now, and post back on updates.
 
Globox village is in the game, I know for sure.
But they changed the way you have to get to it.
It's not simple anymore, before on the dreamcase version all you had to do is get the swinging ablity.
I think you have to get the super helicopter power, and then they might let you use it in certian places like revolution.

I also know there's a cheat menu, if you look at the trailer one of the clips in it has the word "cheat" at the top of the HUD.

Ly has some weird white bow on her head, and razorbeard has white gloves and a shirt with blue stripes instead of red ones.
 
I'll pause the game the next time I see them, grab my camera and take a picture.

Update:
Finished the bayou.

On the isle of doors, there are these weird white tractor beam portal things...
It won't let me select them, but I think they might be minigames for later :D

Now it's time for the sanctuary of water and ice.
 
The "tractor beam" things might be the Walks of Life and Power, which you have to enter with certain amounts of Lums via the Bayou etc.

That proves it's a port of the dreamcast version.

I've never heard of that, except of course using cheats in the PC version. But then I'm never very up to date with glitches and whatnot
 
the ultimate glitch I'm talking about is the glitch where you fly a barrel across and back in the menhir hills, then grab another, wake up the pirate, then when his shots are about to hit you, you throw up the barrel and you get hit, then catch the barrel, then the barrel explodes and you start flying without one, which gives you unlimited flying powers. you press the jump button when you want to stop. this glitch can be abused and can be used to get past the sick Clark cutscene, and then move on to the second part of the menhir hills without getting the elxir for Clark.
this glitch was fixed in the dreamcast version by making the sick Clark cutscene pop up if you go out of boundaries.
if you did the cave of bad dreams and gave Clark the elixir, you could do the glitch without being stopped by the cutscene.
in revolution the glitch was fixed alltogether, and in the iPhone version the glitch is just like the dreamcast one.

I forgot you could take ss's with the iPhone XD

update:
just finished whale bay, starting second sanctuary.

I'm still wondering deeply about this cheat menu seen in the trailer...
why did they leave globox village in if there's no way to get to it?
I think you might get the cheat menu after you beat the game.
there's probably a moonjump cheat or something in that menu.


EDIT: rayman 2 for the iPhone is now officaly in all the app stores.
 
Yes I see it in the app store, but my allowance isn't in my account yet, so I have to wait a bit longer for this and the new lost episode :(
 
When you fought Axel, was he surrounded by a yellow aura? That's the way it was in the Dremcast version, and I hope they've left it that way here; it was always one of the coolest little touches. Foutch should have a blue aura, too.

I've finally started playing this.. yay


EDIT: I gotta say i'm not impressed with the controls. I know it's not their fault because of the touchscreen, but even jumping from platform to platform is really tricky without physical controls for me, and I'm dying all the time in unnecessary places... maybe it takes getting used to
 
You could also try and rotate the image but it's still a great quality shot. ;)

Gonna update the Wiki news about this momentarily.
