I'm not sure where Raymale's up to, but I'll probably be there later today, and I'll check ;)

That stone gave Rayman a hint on how to get into the Globox Village in the Dreamcast version. Very strange that they just left it there uselessly in this one.

Tell me, do iPhone games get updated regularly? If so, we might see some fixes for glitches and perhaps minor content additions...

the hint stone picture was totally unrelated to the TOTA secret hole.

all I know so far is that globox village and the disc minigame exist in the port. while the credits were rolling, it said "very special thanks to (forgot the name) for porting globox town and the disc."

I messaged gameloft about this on facebook, same with the hidden cheat menu.

also, someone said there was another way into the secret room. I found the other way, it's at the beginning of the barrel ride with the lasers and switches. if you turn around right when you get to that section, there's a exit leading somewhere, but if you go into it lasers pop up and block it. no switch to be found to turn them off.
That's not a secret exit, that's an alternate entrance to that section. The reason lasers pop up is to prevent you from going backwards.

Oh. XD
The only versions I played other than this was the ps1 (noob ass imo) and the ps2 one (ownage)..
In revolution, that entrance wasn't there.

I haven't collected all the lums yet, but I'm gonna soon.

I think he meant best port for a mobile system (which I think it is, rayman ds had horrendous controls, ps1 version on psp is good controls, but really short and dissapointing, iPhone is a port of the dreamcast version, smooth framerate, and decent controls once you get used to them.

btw, going to try to get all the lums now.

whatever.
I found more proof of the disc and the village in the iPhone port.
I found a folder for the textures in the disc minigame while looking through the app's folder.

I'm gonna search for the cheat menu in the data folder.

Hold on a second, are you able to edit the contents of those folders? If so, a texture upgrade may be possible...

Also, is that 'KEYGENDOORS' folder a reference of some sort to the Gendoors in Rayman Designer? Or is 'gendoor' an actual word in French or something?

these folders are inside the ipa file, which is only accessable through a file browser on a jailbroken iPhone, or if you download the game using iTunes, then going into the iTunes folder and then the apps one and finding the ipa for your rayman 2. after finding the ipa, rename the . ipa to .zip, and then unzip the zip file. Tada!

once done editing re-zip, change extension from .zip to .ipa.

too bad all the texture files are in some stupid .gf extension, which I have never heard of.

the vingette folder holds loading screen pictures, keypad folder holds the button textures.
some other folders too, like alphabet letters and ground textures.

if anyone knows any way to view . gf files, please tell. :fou:

Or, you can always just download the ipa file off the internet. XD
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=3VRX9EIZ
I'm currently downloading that to check that version a bit. :P

Sadly, there is no way you can open the *.gf files, if they're actually the same format as the original *.gf files ( they might just be another format but with the same extension ). :(

I would of posted that link, but I was in class XD
I got my copy of the game from there; my iPhone is jailbroken so it can run any ipa file.
