What games are you currently playing?

I've been playing Silent Hill : Homecoming. I've been wanting to play these games for a looong time but I don't have a PS2... This one is quite good, but I haven't played it much yet. :) I've just defeated the first boss.

Silent Hill Shattered Memories its for Xbox 360 i think

Homecoming its the worst one! i like more the originals SH 1 SH 2 SH 3 and that, you could get a emulator and play them :P

Now that is stupid, so I have to use a GBASP?

A GBA SP or an original Game Boy Advance with a link cable.
However... with a Game Boy Micro you need a specific link cable and anothe GBM.

I've been playing now Rayman Par Ses Fans.

I am completely and utterly stuck in Super Metroid. I haven't got a clue where I'm supposed to go. The complete nonlinearity of this game and the necessity to collect various power-ups throughout the maze-like environment make it very confusing... and I'm using a map.

Yeah, also there are points where if you go the wrong way you might be unable to get back...

I don't know if I should get the Metroid Prime Trilogy or not, I've never played Metroid before...

I'm currently solving the last puzzles in Professor Layton and Pandora's Box. They're so hard it's mean. :mefiant:

Almost finished MGS3 again. Awesome game, soon to move back onto MGS4

Yeah, I got a gamecube recently for MGS: Twin Snakes, and I've been looking for some good gamecube games to make it more worthwhile. I heard alot about Metroid Prime 1 and 2, and they're often at the top of best gamecube game lists, but I'm not sure what they're like in terms of gameplay/story...

I read some reviews on Gamefaqs and the only things I learned from them are that it's about shooting monsters, scanning environments and there's (some?) platforming in it.

Hehe, yeah, well I always base my game purchasing decisions on whether you can scan the environment or not, so very helpful there gamefaqs...

The Metroid Prime games are, imo, very good. It's a FPS but with elements of 3D platforming, and sometimes some thought and strategy is required.

Portal's ending has just been extended. This is a fantastic win.
What? what do you mean extended???

Edit > Never mind, looked in the Upcoming games topic lol

Edit 2 -> Just ordered Metroid Prime, Metroid Prime 2: Echoes and Rogue Squadron 2

I just played Castlevania order of ecclesia again, i was stuck at Dracula for some weeks so i just cheated. (yeah, weak i know)
I'm going to play Dawn of sorrow too, that thing freezed on my ds at first, but i found a better ROM.
I love the music in these games too.
These games just HAVE to be the best on the DS!!

I'm thinking about getting a Wii, but right now I'm very sceptical about the quality/number of good games out there. Is anyone able to suggest any titles that appeal to someone who likes good storyline and depth, intuitive gameplay, action/adventure/stealth/shooter etc. some exploration is good but no rpgs. Maybe platformers if they're really good but no Mario under any circumstances...???

Castlevania is a 2D platform game with a great story, and you fight with swords and all that.
You could try it, but it's HARD!!!
I like hard games btw.

Very good news, the original portal was fantastic albeit rather short. I'd love to see this franchise expanded, and maybe merged with the Half-life games...

Okami is absolutely awesome. Oh and TLOZ: Twilight Princess. And there's the Metroid Trilogy (and Metroid: Other M coming up.)

And I'm having Fragile Dreams: Farewell Ruins of the Moon on my watchlist because I think it certainly looks interesting.
