I hate to be flip-flopping like this, but I don't want to see someone slaughtered. On the other hand: it's all part of the game, and you already nearly had me lynched once, the message indeed a little strange, and you said you didn't care on top of that... I need a reason to keep you alive, and I can't think of any at the moment.

Day 2 - Change Report - Report Ping Pong

The Day is nearly over and the German leaders have made up their mind. All day long, Terboven has received reports from all over the country that a certain Ping Pong is an active member of the Norwegian Resistance movement, and although it is clear that the people aren't 100% certain of this, he has decided to order the execution of Ping Pong. Late that evening four armed Gestapo officers approach the building in which Ping Pong's apartment lies. They knock on the door but get no answer, so they decide to break in. The moment they break open the door they are met with pistol fire from Ping Pong, who has barricaded himself within the apartment. He manages to shoot two of the officers dead before he finally succumbs to the remaining officer's machine pistol fire.

Upon examining the corpse of Ping Pong the Gestapo officers are quickly able to identify him, and it becomes clear that the first execution ordered by the authorities was a success:

The sun rises over Karl Johan Street in Oslo, tuesday April 27th 1943. The Norwegian people wake up to a series out loud explosion coming from Aker Harbour early in the morning. Apparently, a group of Norwegian saboteurs have managed to sneak into the harbour and plant mines on several ships there in the course of the night. Most of the ships are now either sunk or severely damaged. In other words, the day starts in a good manner for most Norwegians, and it's about to get better.

A few hours later, the day's headlines contain an important message: According to the German-friendly newspapers, it would seem that a so-called Diplodocus stands as a fierce opponent to the Norwegian resistance. Himmler himself said he could be trusted and that everyone is encouraged to support him in 'our struggle against the enemies of the Third Reich'.

It is therefore ironic that said Diplodocus is found murdered in his residence later that day with a single bullet wound to the head. The word that one of the central figures of the Nazi regime has been murdered spreads quickly and it doesn't take long before his real identity is leaked to the public. It becomes clear that the Resistance have managed to assassinate one of the most important Nazi leaders in the country:

You are Obergruppenführer Wilhelm Rediess. During the German occupation of Norway, you are the leader of the SS troops stationed in the country. Among other things you oversee the deportation of the Jews living in Norway, and you encourage SS soldiers to have babies with Norwegian women in order to strengthen the Aryan race.

You are a part of the Occupational Force (“villagers”). You win if the Resistance is eliminated.

At Night, you may use your elite troops to protect another user from any assassination attempts made by the Norwegian Resistance. To do this you send me a PM entitled “Night X – Protect [user]”. If someone tries to kill that user during the night, they will fail. You can not protect yourself.

Following the sabotage operation against German ships and now the murder of Rediess, Terboven is furious, and as a form of public revenge he orders the execution of 20 random factory workers in a fit of rage.

Alright guys. Our bodyguard is dead - this is a huge loss and now we have to act quick.
We definitely need to report a mafioso today; which is why I'm asking you all to send me your Role PM's as soon as possible. Obviously the Win Condition won't do now, as it's been posted publicly now, which is why I'm asking you for the whole PM. All the villagers that have been cooperating with Diplodocus probably know I'm a trustworthy villager too by now - and for those who haven't, let me introduce myself. I am

Now that Diplodocus is dead, I may use my ability; to use it correctly I'll need all the roles by the end of the day 3 guys!

Diplodocus knew he could die tonight and gave me a list of people he'd found to be the most suspicious ones. Goldfish is the leader there; and considering that Diplodocus didn't let us down on Day 2 when he correctly told us to report Ping Pong, we can assume it's very likely Goldfish is a mafioso as well (moreover, Goldfish voted for no report on Day 2 without any kind of reasoning).

I don't really want to lynch Goldfish right away, since this person actually seems somewhat inactive, only checking once every 24-hours (it's actually why I asked the Mafia Host to get on changing the header of the topic). I think, as such, Goldfish must not have a very important role at all. I actually still have unread PM's in my outbox to Goldfish, that have been there overnight.
