Fifth edition of the posts in a day record

Hi guys!

Just a quick message to inform you that we have decided to organise the record again this year. Here's a short description for those of you who joined us in the meantime:

Each year since 2006, we organise a posts in a day record at PC. The whole thing is quite simple: it consists in posting the most possible messages in a predetermined time span of 24 hours. The goal is not only to break a new record every year or bring more activity to the forums, but also to shuffle our topics in order to bring new discussions for the following year.

This is not a spam contest, and useless messages are obviously not welcome. However, the special conditions during the record day will be the cause of a certain leniency, especially as concerns old topics, which can be bumped freely.

We're gonna try our best to break the outstanding record of 14340 messages, and of course participants will get loads of bonus Tings: each post is worth 15 Tings within the given time span, and then come the bonus Tings: 1500 for participating (i.e. posting at least one message), 1500 for beating one's own posts in a day record (you can ask me to calculate it for you), and 3000 Tings for the winner. For example, someone once ended up with the staggering amount of 42420 Tings that day.

The date will be Saturday August 7th from 0.00 AM to 12.00 PM (GMT+1), which must be adjusted depending on your time zone (feel free to post your time zone here if you aren't sure). For instance, it would be from August 6th at 11.00 PM to August 7th at 11.00 PM in the UK. If you have a problem with this date, please tell us as soon as you can; even though I'm not sure it's still possible to change it, I would like to make sure most of our important members will be here.

I fear it won't be possible to participate.

I haven't internet at home, and I can only acess this other computer that is on other place between 4h/7h per day (From Monday to Friday). On weekends and holidays I cannot acess it. And since in August I'm not going be able to acess this place, it will be impossible to follow this record.

My holidays are really busy, so I don't know if I'll be there.. I hope so though.

We could have had more people by organising it in July, but it's impossible for me and neither Romano or Xenon actually know how to launch it properly. Anyway, let's just try our best.

It's actually a bit more complicated, not to mention the fact that I wouldn't be able to participate in July. Let's just do our best!

Guess I'll go for 1500 on this account and 777 on Tings ffs this time.
That's super hard though, unless you unlock SPAM 4 GR8 JUSTICE.

I'm not sure I'll be up for it this year, my enthusiasm on the matter has fallen greatly...
