Rayman 2 PC demo... glitchiest game ever ?

Is this the one where you play in the Fairy Glade? I'm sure I played such a demo, and it had a different jingle when the pirate threw the flaming barrel on the metal sparadrap. Had this on a magazine CD yonks back.

That was a BETA sound effect. But it appears on N64 and DS versions as well.

Anyway, you're right. It is really glitchy.

In the status (health, no. of lums, no. of cages),it lists the lums which are in that level, but can't be found in the demo. Though, they show the cages which can be found in the demo.

If that didn't make sense, I'll simplify it a bit... It lists all the lums in that level, but only the 2 cages which can be found in the demo.
There is a similar notation glitch in the Prison Ship which was fixed in Revolution. Before you escape, it shows the number of lums from the Woods of Light and the number of cages from the Prison Ship. Unless there are five secret lums!!! :D

Also, I run Vista and the demo crashes after I finish the first segment.

I might be the only one who has noticed this but does anyone else find Rayman's eyes in the R2 demo creepy? When I play the demo, Rayman's pupils are constantly adjusting their size and are really skinny for some reason.

Does it creep anyone else out? Has anyone else noticed it?

When I still hadn't the full version on R2 I didn't mind about that... 9 years later I picked the demo again and I already didn't remind that look! And yes, it does is creepy:

I don't think the Demo was made to run in anything but Win98 and Win2000. It doesn't work on XP at all for me.
Works perfectly for me and I have Vista x64 but because of this I have lost my mind over trying to get it to work on my system :confus:

There's the reason you lost your mind.

Marley, you've gone on a thread-resurrecting spree! :)

But I've never heard of a Rayman 2 demo, so OK.

Search on my Youtube page and you'll see the gameplay of the PC demo of R2.

You've done some really good playthroughs, Haruka. I watched some of them.

Ever considered LPing on a greater scale on YouTube? (Let's Plays, as in with commentary) :hehe:

Thank you. :)

I'm currently uploading the Rayman 1 (GBC version) videos that show how to complete the game 100% (But there isn't a video showing the Ubi Cliff because I never acessed that level, and I don't know if there's a emulator that can emulate infrared communication to be able to trade Ubi Keys among the compactible games). At the same time I'm uploading the dialogues from other languages of R2TGE (Playstation 1 version), that are interesting to listen too.

After I'll also upload videos from the GBC's R2 game and all Rayman GBA games soon or later, and adding some extras too.

Why did they take the boss dialogue out from Rayman Revolution. I mean, they added in the English voices for the game, so why not use the boss dialogue too?

"WHO DARES DISTURB THE TRANQUILITY OF THIS PLACE?"

Yeh, I was right about day in Fairy Glade. Also I prefer this old Rayman's eyes look than final one...

I also think that the dialogues of the Guardians should be included on the RR, too bad it hasn't...

Weren't they included in PS1 version? I remember this reference about Foutch and his madness... If i'm wrong, what dialogues are you talking 'bout?

Yes, the Guardians dialogues are exclusive to the PS1 version. What's odd is the NTSC version having the French dialogue (I know, Canadá) but the PAL doesn't. Instead there is the Italian language.
