The Hole in The Tomb of the Ancients

So that cheat was true all along? I used to keep trying it in the Canopy because I kept thinking it was the "spider level" but it never worked...

wait LOL that's the same secret hole with the babby globoxes and stuff!

I'm at that part in Rayman Revolution, and pressing the equivalent keys does nothing (X O square triangle square triangle)

That's great! I knew the hole had a purpose!! :P
Perhaps there's a slight alteration in the code for the other versions. Or the devs simply LURVED the DC version.

If that's true, then they shouldn't have left the hole there. Plus the DC version came after the PC and N64 and the hole's in them right?

W00T THAT LOOKED AWESOME!!!
however, that text doesn't appear in the n64 version. Maybe it only appears after triggering the box?
Try something else :)

R1 and L1
edit: and shoot is square and circle, I've tried every possible combination (switching camera buttons as well)
edit 2: I'm off now, but if anyone thinks of anything, post it and I'll try it when I get back (in about an hour) or you can try it yourself on your respective versions

BTW, the one I figured out was the "push a tree" one. However, the only tree I could get it to work on was one in the Fairy Glade area where Ly was trapped, to the left of when you enter. When you push on it for a while (it works best when standing on one of its roots while running towards it), the word "Pickwitt" appears and your life is refilled. It is similar to the code in the first area of The Canopy where pressing B (shoot) repeatedly gives you three golden fists and makes the word "Gauntlet" appear, though I do not think that code is one of the three referred to in the Tomb.

Anyone have an idea what "Pickwitt" or "Gauntlet" could refer to?

I'm going to try "jump under a well" and "shoot on a bridge" on some levels now. Does anyone know of levels with wells in them?

Replacing square and circle with L2 and R2... most RR cheats seem to work this way, if I remember rightly.
L2, R2, L1, R1, L1, R1, perhaps?
Or R2, L2, R1,L1, R1, L1... meh.

Gauntlet makes sense. Pickwitt - no idea.

Gauntlet = http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gauntlet_(glove) which could make sense since this is indeed about Rayman's hands toughening up.

I suspected that, but "Pickwitt" has completely thrown me off. A Google search turns nothing up but a suggestion that I mean "pickwick" instead, and I just tried it out again, and it definitely says "Pickwitt".

A small clarification: The Gauntlet code appears to only work when standing under the hole the spider drops down in the Canopy, right at the start.

MJongo please edit your posts rather than double posting.

I couldn't find much about the word "pickwitt" either.

Great secret, now we only need the ''shoot on a bridge'' secret.
I think the canopy secret is different. The messages say:

To gain life points, try to shoot on a bridge
To gain 3 mega-shoots, try to jump under a well
To recover full life, try to push a tree

However, shooting under the spiderhole in the Canopy gives you 3 mega-shoots. A possibility is whoever wrote the text accidentally switched the methods, and it should be "to gain 3 mega-shoots, try to shoot under a well", and "to gain life points, try to jump on a bridge". I think I'm going to change the language to French and go back to the hint room and translate the messages, to see if they are different.

EDIT: Oops, forgot I can only change the languages in the PS2 version.

BIG EDIT: I found another spot for "Pickwitt"! This one is in Whale Bay. After going past the hatch that releases rolling barrels, I ran against the bigger of the two trees on the island and sure enough, the word appeared and my life was refilled.
