Nah, that isn't exactly what I meant; it was more of a way for me to think of "How did he get from Point A to Point B?". Of course in RPGs it's ridiculous that they all lose their cool stuff like that(sometimes it's justified, but other times... mehhhh), but I was just going along with a train of thought and figured "Hey, this could work as an idea maybe!" It kind of... well, to put it in another way I think you'd understand given the link you gave, It Makes Sense In Context... ;DParadoxJuice wrote:I don't think we're going to get an explanation. Ever played an RPG? Ever played the sequel of the same RPG? Notice how you lose all that cool stuff you collected in Unnamed RPG 1? This seems to be the same thing, in reverse (he has all his powers in the prequel as opposed to losing them in the sequel).Ephriokko wrote:it was at least my way of explaining why Rayman wouldn't have any powers at the beginning of the first Rayman game(he couldn't even throw a punch!)
See Bag of Spilling. By clicking this text.
So I'm not actually expecting any explanation for it, it's just a silly thing for me to think of in my head. Because even if it is never explained canonically, you have to admit that it's hard NOT to think of ways to 'fill in the gap' when you're playing the games. For me, anyways... I always think of "Well, maybe ___ happened and that's why" or "They left their stuff somewhere else before leaving" or something.
On another note: I can't believe I just happened to randomly meet someone who also knows about that site. I love TV Tropes, even if I'm too chicken to actually do much in the community itself thus far besides a few edits and things(It can be hard for me to get into the actual community part sometimes, with the forums and everything... but I'm going to try and give it a go sometime). It's so incredibly hard to not reference it when talking about a trope from there out of context though... Dx
On another, ANOTHER note: For what it's worth, I put the story thing I was talking about on the forums in the art/whatever forum place. Just in case you're interested in what I meant, since I really suck at explaining stuff that I've already explained once before and... bahh. You know, I'm gonna just end my post now...
