Alright then! Thank you, I just need to beat the final world again and check my score. Unless there is a quicker way of doing it. :|

What about the Lums Race option on the Bonus Menu?

Hmm, you should be able to see your total score easily if you have completed the game once. If you wish to enter your score into HOF, you need the code which, as mentioned in the previous post, you find under "Lums Race".

You can also mention your score in this topic. Your total score is of interest and your score for each level is also of interest. So just write it down here :)

I have played a little bit this summer. I'm in the middle of FC trying to pick up the last points there.

How about you, have you decided it's time to pass the 850k milestone yet? As far as I remember you just need the extra 1.500 points from LOTLD, right?

By the way, your score is still absent from HoF. A high score like yours should not be left out of the list :|

Hmm... weird. I was revisiting the Tower of Lepty's to get the xowar secret, scored 100% on first stage, 93% on second stage and 86% on third stage. I red on internet that it should be enough. However, the xowar door didn't open... I got around 42000 points. Why? :\

There has been some dispute over what exactly is needed to open the Xowar room. I don't think anybody really knows. However, I think everyone who's had a score of at least 45.000 points has opened the room. So I suggest you replay this level and pick up the 3.000 missing points. :)

Actually I completely forgot about those missing points. There's some incentive to replay the game... I'll try this afternoon, but my skills have probably deteriorated in my long absence.

I'll re-enter the mysterious missing score later too :)

Edit: It's going okay but I'm struggling slightly with the large combo in part 1. I seem to be able to manage the first combo fine though...

I guess I should replay again the game... I can't remember where I had to try to do a better score.

Yeah, it's hard to come back to the game after a long break. I for one would dread to play BOM again as I haven't been there for ages. As for LOTLD part 1 the big combo, wouldn't it be easier if you left out the first three Hoodmongers from the combo? It's mostly there the combo fails for me. Then you could hit the Hoodstormer at the fountain four times and take it after the yellow gems and go on from there. I'm sure the remaining combo is big enough to end this part with a decent score.

I haven't played much the last half year or so, but I have played enough to stay in shape for FC. When I finish this level I guess I'll pack it in and call it a day with regards to R3. The only other place I could think of playing would be LS and trying to reach the maximum score of 43.200 points. It doesn't require any skills apart from shoe-hitting and being fast with the Matuvu. The rest is straightforward.

I did find a new combo in FC this summer and it is this combo I'm struggling with at the moment. When I manage to do this I will finish the game and thus put a lock on FC for my part. I'll probably never return to FC for a scoring purpose again. It's been one hell of a level to wield and the fact that it took me five years to come up with this last new combo shows how difficult and yet magic this level really is. Well, for me at least.

If you decide to play FC after LOTLD let me know. I'll see if I can make some videos or at least write down in words some of the combos I have used. In time I will rewrite the walkthrough for FC on page 1 so it includes the most recent scores and combos.

This.
It's been like 9 months now that I promised to make videos of my combos and I haven't done that so far. I by now I do feel rather guilty for it. I just can't force myself to play R3 anymore, even though I'd really like to. The fact that it feels to me as if I got everything out of FC, yet knowing you have I higher score that me kinda frustrates me. I tried to find any room to at least change around the the order I pick up the gems in, but there's nothing except for that stupid vortex room in the end. And if you really found a massive combo there I can't play that would piss me off even more.

Also, I'd LOVE to pursue the maximum score in BOM but not before finishing FC.
Seriously, I really hope I can force myself to record those combos any time soon...

I guess it's going a bit slow with playing R3 at the moment. I play maybe a few hours in weekends and that's it. Even though there's no competition going on at present I'd like to finish FC and LS for my own peace of mind. When that is done I'll probably give the walkthroughs an overhaul where it's needed. At the bottom of my to-do-pile I have BOM and SBTC. Not sure I'll do those levels though.

As for FC, I'll have about 1.000 points more than you when I finish. My guess is that we play different combos in many places. But we'll be wiser on that point if you make videos later.

And as for BOM, what, or how, do you plan to improve in that level?

1.000 points? Holy crap. Did you make the matuvus combo in part 2 work?
I could imagine that youget another 500 points more out of the matuvus-tribelle-combo in part 4, but it's just a guess anyway. I've tried it quite a few times to combo the matuvus AND the tribelle but I could not succeed so far.
And then there's still that cursed vortex.. :>

Simple as it is I just want to give the extra 400 points in BOM a shot for a total of 101.199. I know it'd be a pain to try it, but it's still my favourite level so I could endure quite a lot failures before giving up I guess.

EDIT:

Also, I could force myself to record the matuvus combo in part 2:

I've got to go now, I'll record the matuvus-tribelle-combo and the fairy-combo tomorrow.

Yeah, I got the Matuvu in part 2 in a decent combo. And like you I have also toyed with the idea of combining the Matuvus and the Tribelle in part 4. It's not working out for me yet.

The 400 points in BOM will be absolutely hell to get. One way around it could be making better combos in parts 1 - 5 in order to make replaying part 6 less frustrating. Even an extra 600 - 800 points would make part 6 a lot easier. Well, maybe it actually could be fun to maximize every part in BOM? :)

Edit: Cool video! Do you remember your score after part 2 in FC? I'll look forward to seeing the other videos tomorrow.

actually, how do you do it? because I can get the tribelle for 1000 points in combo, but I have to start out with the matuvus.

EDIT:

>The Matuvus-Tribelle-Combo

>The Fairy Combo

Well... The first one is quite challenging. Losing a split second at any point is definitely worth a restart. Also, the camera really tends to be a bitch at 1:01
The second one is quite simple.

So this is about everything I can reveal in FC, and if you play all the combos I have shown plus mostwanted's matuvus combo in part 3, you should be able to pass 47K. now it's up to MandM to reveal his secrets, in order to make 48K the goal.

Meanwhile I'll be looking for 44.5K in LS, because I'm more confident than ever that I can improve the green gem in part 2 :p
I actually made it up to the 3rd door and down to the second door in time once. I believe I can make that combo work.

Nice to see the videos. And you're right, the Tribelle is usually caught within the last fraction of a second. I have a good way to run though and I've played this combo over and over, so I get it almost every time now.

Most of the combos I play differently from you, which I guess accounts for the different scores. I will make videos at some point so you can see for yourself. I'll try not to let it take ten months for me to do so. :hehe:

As for LS and the green gem, I have tried a few times to get this gem for en extra 1.500 points. And yes, it is indeed possible to climb to the top and get down to the second level on time. However, the Crown is quite a bit inside the top room and it is not as easy to take as a yellow gem. Thus there is a serious challenge keeping the combo going after this Crown. Furthermore, when you head downwards you often find one of the moving platforms to be in your way. But without trying one can never make anything work. So good luck.
