I can't even run Desmume on my laptop so I can't see the problem for myself but it sounds like the game's not fully playable in that emu so I'd give No$GBA a shot, the game definitely works on that.

The NO$GBA is the best DS emulator available. I recommend it.

If it's asking you to "insert cartridge" then find the bloody rom and load the game.
I just played it again myself and my memory serves me right, any of the puzzle squares can be dragged into a free space.
any more "what's this what's that how do I do this and that" and I think I'm gonna blow up. x(

BTW I've tried looking for those UHU glue promos in two stationary and craft stores but I couldn't see anything Rabbid on them...
