I thought the flying enemies looked a bit like the Uglies from Razoff’s mansion.

but they are blue, and this is yellow
 
I'm glad this game will finally be out. Been waiting for a new Rayman since ever.
Also i'm glad the platform for the levels will be open-source it's great news for developers!

Me too. For a not Rayman styled game, it's not too bad, but for Rayman game, it's the worst, according me.

the tentacle disappears after Rayman releasing Carmen...
Does that have anything to do with Carmen?
 
What I was thinking was the possibility to exist a connection between the pink creature of RO and this pink tentacle of RR. It can be a coicidence, but it can also be a reference.
 
I dunno bout that... the idea of a big giant pink creature thing with a gazillion eyes and tentacles doesn't have to be solely inspired from a little-seen roadblock mechanism in an old game. :P
 
It looks more like Carmen's fin to me. If the producers wanted to make a reference I think they'd put more effort in making it actually look like a tentacle.

It is definitely not Carmen’s fin. It waves through the air and slaps Rayman if he comes close, and it only disappears once Rayman frees Carmen from the Whale Bay. Carmen can also be seen in the background of the same location shortly before the tentacle disappears.

This can't be right... Carmen can only be seen in that area after Rayman has set her free from the trap in Whale Bay.
