I was standing right next to the Gorilla Pirate with the plum on his head (who is directly under a vertical shaft with a netting ladder thing [‘under a well’, remember?]), randomly tapping the ‘shoot’ button (as you do), and the word ‘Gauntlet’ flashed across the screen and suddenly I had a golden fist. This proves that you don’t need to actually go to the secret area to get the cheats active. You just need to perform the right action in the right place.
I wrote an article about it for RayWiki. You can read it if you don’t want to bother trawling through the twenty pages of this thread.Haruka said:OK, I guess I've been loosing very interesting informations about that wierd hole. OO'
Yes, there are plenty of specific places where the cheats work. For example, you can activate Gauntlet by going down the waterfall in the Woods of Light (right after you find the first Yellow Lum in the game) and just shooting repeatedly.Haruka said:Does anyone managed to get the cheats work in specific places?
No, just the Dreamcast one.Haruka said:Do they work on other classical versions of R2?
Well, there’s Kaleidoscope Textures:Haruka said:Are there more cheatcodes that I might be unaware?
You might want to make a video of it, since MJongo is the only member here who’s seen it so far.MJongo said:Just made another discovery. Ever see the following codes on sites, and couldn't get them to work?
Kaleidoscope Textures Press Down,A,Down,B,A,Y,X,X
Rayman VMU Icon Press Up, X, Y, Down, Y, X, Left, Right
Try inputting them in a level with the controller in slot 2, then exiting the level.
Kaleidoscope textures is one of the coolest things you will ever see.![]()
