Rayman Trilogy is coming soon with the 3 episodes made originally for ps2, so why not? Just like God Of War, with the collection with the 2 episodes and the third one in another blu ray. I know that Rayman 1 is on the PSN, but someone can't download it, for example me, because I just can't go on the web with my ps3. I ask you to convice Ubisoft to convert the game, and I promise that I will not torment you again with this idea. Please spread this message on social networks like Facebook and Twitter. Thank you."

Re: Rayman Trilogy for PS3?
Grazie RayBlue.
Super Mario 64 converted to Wii? Since when? Unless he is talking about the Virtual Console game from Wii Shop Channel. But like this it would be the same thing as Rayman 1 in PS3's Playstation Network store.

Re: Rayman Trilogy for PS3?
It is exactly the same thing. Judging from his post, he seems to want a Blu-ray release of Rayman 1 solely because he himself doesn’t have PSN access.Haruka wrote:Super Mario 64 converted to Wii? Re: Rayman Trilogy for PS3?
But that's silly. Anyone can get a wireless router for a good price and configure the internet acess in the console. I don't see the point of the Italian guy wanting a Blu-Ray game disc. It's just silly.spiraldoor wrote: It is exactly the same thing. Judging from his post, he seems to want a Blu-ray release of Rayman 1 solely because he himself doesn’t have PSN access.

Re: Rayman Trilogy for PS3?
Maybe he meant to say a full remake, and by Super Mario 64 on Wii, he meant Super Mario Galaxy?
Re: Rayman Trilogy for PS3?
No, he said that he would like to have a Blu Ray version of Rayman 1, the original version, just like Spiraldoor said, not a 3d remake.
And he talks about "a Wii optical disc release of Super Mario 64".
Sorry if my translations are not clear ^^'

But where does Spiraldoor mentions about 3D!?RayBlue wrote:No, he said that he would like to have a Blu Ray version of Rayman 1, the original version, not a 3d remake, just like Spiraldoor said.

Sorry everyone, bad english. ._.
I edited my last post to make it correct.

Re: Rayman Trilogy for PS3?
Alright. Because we aren't talking about a 3D remake of Rayman 1. However I find much more probable being RR,RM and R3 than any other game,

Re: Rayman Trilogy for PS3?
Apparently Konami are making a Metal Gear Solid HD PS3 Trilogy including the two PS2 games, and more importantly the PS1 game, which is unprecedented.
This makes the notion that Rayman 1 might be included in the Rayman Trilogy seem much more credible.

With that new detail indeed it makes now more plausible...spiraldoor wrote:Apparently Konami are making a Metal Gear Solid HD PS3 Trilogy including the two PS2 games, and more importantly the PS1 game, which is unprecedented.

Re: Rayman Trilogy for PS3?
That's not exactly true. Making Metal Gear Solid 1 HD would still be way less work than making an HD version of Rayman 1.
Metal Gear Solid is 3D, so graphics would not have to be redrawn and instead the resolution could just be upped, just as Ubisoft cheaped out and did with the PoP HD Trilogy. All people are doing with these HD releases is just upping resolution for the most part. I think most people are vaguely upping polygon count and texture resolution, but Ubisoft sure as hell didn't do it with Prince of Persia. The graphics and everything are those are the same, including the bugs, since they are just basic PS2 ports with higher resolution.
Now Metal Gear Solid 1 is especially a different case, since there's already a last gen remake that is presentable for Gamecube called Twin Snakes that would probably be used as well. I really doubt they'd do anything from scratch again from the original PS1 game. Some of the speculation is that Silicon Knights and Nintendo have stake in Twin Snakes and would probably not allow an HD PS3 release, so there's a possibility it would just be MGS2 and 3 along with maybe a voucher for a download of MGS from the PSN store.

Re: Rayman Trilogy for PS3?
You guys shouldn't compare it to the MGS Collection as it is not officially announced yet. It might be a big mistake.
Speaking of that, I wonder if the Rayman Trilogy got cancelled. Why would they port Rayman 2 for the 3DS and release a collection for the PS3 at the same time?

For profit, don't you think?Zalman wrote:Speaking of that, I wonder if the Rayman Trilogy got cancelled.
Nobody said anything, so it doesn't mean it got really cancelled.

I don't see anything wrong in it. It would be the same thing if every company just released one game for just one platform.

Re: Rayman Trilogy for PS3?
I'm just saying in terms of HD conversions MGS1 and the first Rayman aren't really on the same terms. The MGS HD Collection is very far from announced, the most being the UK Playstation Magazine saying it's "in queue" for an upgrade. That doesn't even mean development has started if it means anything at all. Also Konami isn't exactly big on following through with the series sometimes. They said two years ago Metal Gear Solid 4 was going to have trophies, but most likely they will not be added now. Not that that's a crime or anything...Zalman wrote:You guys shouldn't compare it to the MGS Collection as it is not officially announced yet. It might be a big mistake.

I also get the feeling the Rayman Trilogy isn't going to happen with the updated Rayman 2. It's almost as if they started updating Rayman 2 and did not want to bother with the other two. It's not like Rayman was every hinted at officially, it was only gaming news sites that said it was "rumored" along with a bunch of other Ubisoft series in the list. I would take it with a grain of salt. It should also be noted Ubisoft didn't bother with a disc release of the Prince of Persia Trilogy in the United States, meaning they maybe thought it would become a possible financial dud. I think while everyone is for whatever reason screaming for these HD ports, a lot of companies are still waiting to see if it's even viable for profit.
So far, all the PS2 stuff that has been updated for PS3 is Sly Cooper, God of War, and Prince of Persia. There's some other smaller PSN releases but a lot of stuff on the way doesn't constitute that. Confirmed for HD remakes is ICO, Shadow of the Colossus, Oddworld Stranger's Wrath, and Beyond Good and Evil. Out of all of those, the only one with gameplay videos or screenshots available at this point is BG&E. It's a bit odd. A Jak and Daxter collection has been confirmed as not happening. I get the feeling the excitement over HD rereleases isn't going to sustain much longer. Maybe there's other major HD titles I forgot that are confirmed?
Re: Rayman Trilogy for PS3?
Wait, what? It has never been confirmed as not happening, Naughty Dog just said they won't make it themselves. That isn't a big deal, as the God of War and Sly Collections weren't made by the original developers anyway. Upgrading isn't a hard job.syntheticgerbil wrote:A Jak and Daxter collection has been confirmed as not happening.
Also, now there's a Devil May Cry Trilogy in the rumor-mill. Hoping for some actual confirmations on all these soon.

Re: Rayman Trilogy for PS3?
I just realized how fucking awesome this is going to be.
Re: Rayman Trilogy for PS3?
I'm pretty sure the reason why it isn't released yet, is because they're either:
A. Creating a completely HD remake of Rayman 1, Along with fixing R2: Revolution's framerate, and upscaling R3 n' stuff.
B. Putting Rayman Arena/M with online multiplayer on the disc, Along with fixing R2: Revolution's framerate, and upscaling R3 n' stuff.
