I find The Longest Shortcut the easiest level to improve the scoring. The main key to get around 40000 points is to catch the jewels from the secret areas in this order:

Yellow Jewels first, after the red jewels and at last the green jewel.

You also need to be quick to make the combo work well. ;)
 
Perhaps he's simply missing one of the secret rooms. Here is the complete list of secret areas in the game.

Does anyone else think this list should be added to the first page of this topic, by the way? :)
 
Btw, if I cant use an emulator, I cant play rayman quietly

My game and memorycard dont work properly, I cant do more in rayman 3 if my game have a lot of glitches and problems in the score (like in TDOTK an TLS), if I cant use an emulator, here is my final and horrible score:

Are you asking how to enter the room with the yellow gems at the beginning of the combo? If so, you don't need a Throttle Copter for that. You can can jump up there. Below the entrance to that room, on the ground floor where all the Hoodlums are, take a step back and step up on the small ledge. You are now a little bit higher than the ground floor, but it is enough for you to be able to jump towards the entrance and for your hands to grab hold. Climb up and avoid all the yellow gems on your way in.

Hope that may help you out.
 
I made a video that shows the entire preparation that needs to be made in order to play the big Hoodlum Combo successfully. First you need to hit the Hoodoo three times. Then you can jump up to the entrance as shown. But before you enter the hallway, make sure the Hoodblaster is located just outside the entrance. If not, you have to jump down again and lure the Hoodblaster to the right spot.
