This was so much fun! I've never felt so sure of my own death EVERY NIGHT for the past few weeks!! Such a thrill - I should join more terrorist organisations. The hosting was great, the roles were perfect... really, really great job.
As my slowness at sending NAs was one of the reasons the game took so long, I unreservedly apologise to everyone for the delay.

Yes, excellent game. It's a shame I was killed in the first round (through no fault of my own) and that several other players were eliminated unfairly because of one person. Still, it was great to watch and congratulations to the Allied Forces!

Plus points:

- Good hosting
- Players were given good roles
- Teams were balanced

Negative points:

- Days and nights took too long, maybe because of slow players and such
- Roles didn't seem to be allocated randomly (at least not to me)

Maybe the images in the role PMs should not have existed too. I know that the Mafia team discovered where Des found them, but that was pretty lucky and anyone without knowledge of Hetalia would have been exposed instantly. Personally, I think there should be rules with regards to publishing role PMs, because in my opinion sharing this information transforms the game into a game of "are the villagers smart enough to kill the Mafia in time" rather than a game of pure investigative skill.

This makes no sense. Also, only the Mafia needed to find those pics, and I would have given you pics for your fake role PMs if you had asked.
The purpose of the pics was just to show players the characters of Hetalia, nothing more, nothing less.

I agree with Xenon that there shouldn't be any trading of role PM's. Maybe they could post the picture, and PARAPHRASE their pm, but no actual quoting. Mafia SHOULD have fake claims to be safe though.

Hey all. I was the vig. : D Some of you took those kills really badly, and I'm sorry you were tormented and tortured because of it. To Rsandee, I would say grow up. No need to personally attack me because you got killed by me. You were doing fine, you just got caught by my suspicions. I think you got a little too reliant on your role though.

Xenon is also right. He was killed by me because I suspected him minorly, but I got lucky. You all need to learn dying isn't bad. It's so odd the Mafia won't even kill themselves to get town credit. Maybe in the future. But one thing I do think needs improvement, is the discussion between the players.

Also I don't know about the actual PM'ing thing. I'd rather have a game that everyone has to post in the thread. Usually I play games where out of game discussion isn't allowed, and which is cheating. So as you can see, it was odd for me to get a PM saying that we would need to become an allience. Sorry Quickfist... : [ I will try to gladly accept an alliance next time. This was my first time.

Btw Hunch I really was suspicious of you. I just thought that role was really overpowered for town. (Especially since there was a vig in the game) I guess you got mad at me because I ruined your plans. I'm sorry for that, but I didn't like the way you approached it is all.

I guess Mafia games here take longer because people are reluctant to kill in the first place. I have seen you guys have no clue who to kill and where to start. I have talked to Matt about this, and this is what I hope to implement for future mafia games:

an RVS/RQS stage. Now, I was dissapointed to the lack of discussion in thread, and this may help strengthen the discussion in thread. Now if you all would rather not, and just get info from your roles, say so.

RVS is Random Vote Stage. This would mean at the start, people would randomly vote someone, and for funny/joke reasons. Vote: Hunch for winning last time or Vote: Neo for actually using your vig role, etc. Then I'd say SO WHAT? and it'd spark some discussion/debate.

RQS is Random Question stage
How much experience of mafia do you have? IRL and Online.
What RPG's do you like, and why? (Short and brief please)
Do you like Discussion, or discussing legit info from the host? Why?
What roles do you like?
Mafia, or town?
Do you suspect anyone? If so, who? If not, why?

Well, I think trading should be allowed but role PMs should be made as simple as possible - only detailing the player's role and power. Because let's be honest, if the Mafia team were a bunch of halfwits they would be unable to construct plausible role PMs and would consequently be found out straight away.

@ DesLife: It depends how intricate and challenging you want the game to be set.

Forbidding that is absolutely out of the question. Anyone can post a role pm, whether it's fake or not. This game is all about deceiving, you're allowed to write anything here in order to win.

Also RVS is very stupid. And our way of playing is different from yours because we have those games very rarely, so no one wants to rush things like you've been stupidly doing.

That's because you're thoe only one here who thinks roles are allocated randomly. They're not, or the teams wouldn't be balanced.

If you are talking about what I said in thread, that was in no way personal. It's just that I told you that to get a reaction from you.

@Deslife: I do not think it is stupid, It would get discussion going. That is not a bad thing. Even if you disagree with the PM's, I'd think discussion is an important key to mafia.

Also, I'd ask for peoples thoughts on custom avatars for Mafia. it'd also help with people's identities actually.

True. Thing is people can discern who can be the bad guy by just looking at the character that player claims. If I was playing Mario Mafia, and was Bowser, I would deff not claim as bowser.

I'd just claim as toad or something. This is why fake claims should be in there too. A mod confirmed character that no one else knows about. : ]

@One more thing. I was a little more confident with my kills n2 and n3 because I got mafia n1. My mistake.

First of all, congrats Dedess, this was a great game! The repartition of roles was very well balanced, the Hetalia universe really great and the hosting itself absolutely awesome! The only thing I may suggest is deadlines in order to avoid ever-lasting days and nights, but while godkilling is required in some cases, it's always a relief not to have to resort to such measures.

On the suggestion of forbidding PM trade, I'd like to remind you guys that screenshots are already banned, and while I agree with this since those are not easy to counterfeit, I strongly oppose any measure limiting the players' inventiveness, i.e. preventing them from revealing their role PMs.

At last, I guess neo needs to adapt to the way we play mafia here, which is apparently much more well-thought and much less random than on other forums. Let's forgive him, after well he's already won himself the first place of the Hall of Fail xD Keep up Carlos, I'm looking forward to seeing how you'll adapt in the next game man

Thanks Hunch, glad you can understand. Sorry you had to deal with my hard headedness, haha. I tend to look at things at the surface, and I try not to over-analyze here. Actually, I think I did here. I can see my kills did give you info in some sort of way, but I can see there might be other ways to nail mafia while keeping everyone alive.

Yeah, I'll adapt. I'll try to be more open to pm's and alliances. I think you pulled out well even after I didn't go through with your plan, haha.

I agree with Hunch, that deadlines would help us. Maybe 10 day phases, 14 day, or even, 3 week deadlines... xD I'd go with the former. Depends how fast people want to go.
