"Confirmed"? How so? The guy didn't state his source. I doubt he knows more than all the other journalists who wrote about this, who only say "Xbox 360, Wii, and PlayStation 3".

Re: Rayman Origins
But what if it is true? I don't find impossible to go to the 3DS. Some rumours about it have been up lately.
Aaaaah, I want E3 now (but it already took more waiting time).

Re: Rayman Origins
Could be true of course, but sadly I doubt it, since you can already pre-order every other version. The 3DS version is nowhere to be found though, and I doubt that's intentional.
Re: Rayman Origins
Fair enough. E3 is the last word tough.

Re: Rayman Origins
No one said it will be bad, but the visual quality will obviously be significantly lower given the very limited capacities of the Wii compared to its competitors. And so goes for the 3DS, if it is to be released.Haruka wrote:Significantly? We'll see that, it cannot be that bad. Like if it was going to get a SNES graphism or something.
Re: Rayman Origins
Not to mention that they would have to change the size of the view for that (because the screen is way too small to show as much as the HD versions do) and a lot of the action would be lost by doing so.Hunchman801 wrote:And so goes for the 3DS, if it is to be released.

Re: Rayman Origins
Yeah, that's what they did with Rayman Advance.

Right, and the shrinked screen in Rayman Advance difficultated my gameplay, even when knowing nearly by heart the Rayman 1 structure.Hunchman801 wrote:Yeah, that's what they did with Rayman Advance.
You got a point. Now if they'll really do it, I wonder how would affect the gameplay, unless they made an adapted RO for it.
EDIT: Wait a second, I found a short article in Portuguese that says that it will go to the 3DS, a port done by Ubisoft Casablanca:

Ah, in that case, that's awesome!Haruka wrote:EDIT: Wait a second, I found a short article in Portuguese that says that it will go to the 3DS, a port done by Ubisoft Casablanca:

I only hope they somehow find a way to make the gameplay still feel alright on that small screen...
Re: Rayman Origins
I hope too, because I got disappointed with the GBA version of Rayman 1.

Re: Rayman Origins
Since it's a drawn 2D game, the only obstacle I see here is the lack of HD, which I personally don't think is such a big deal. That said, if I get a PS3 before its release, I might get that version, if only so that I have some more games for that system.Hunchman801 wrote:No one said it will be bad, but the visual quality will obviously be significantly lower given the very limited capacities of the Wii compared to its competitors.Haruka wrote:Significantly? Also, I'm really excited about the bosses. I love how huge they are. Huge bosses are usually very satisfying to take down imo.
Re: Rayman Origins
It reminds me Reflux in his last form, but the new bosses will clearly be way bigger than him.

Maybe the UbiArt engine, which animates drawings, actually needs a lot of resources...El Dango wrote:Since it's a drawn 2D game, the only obstacle I see here is the lack of HD, which I personally don't think is such a big deal.
Re: Rayman Origins
The 3DS is capable to hold and play Xbox 360 and PS3 games. The 3DS has a few re-makes of such games which, yeah, the screen is smaller and therefore the graphics will never be as good. However, the 3D makes up for it.
I think the 3D will make Rayman Origins panel/layer gameplay incredibly effective as you will be able to judge the distance.

Re: Rayman Origins
The 3DS is in no way capable of running XBOX360 or PS3 games. The NGP is more powerful than the 3DS and even it has no chance of running games to the standard of the HD consoles. The only reason Origins has a chance is because it's a simple engine designed from the ground up to be scalable.Acarr wrote:The 3DS is capable to hold and play Xbox 360 and PS3 games. This is true, I have no idea who told you this Acarr but the 3DS has nothing to do with HD consoles in terms of power.

Guys, maybe we stop it?
Re: Rayman Origins
The blog has been updated as well, they've put the box-arts of the wii, PS3 and of the xbox360 of the game: http://raymanorigins.uk.ubi.com/
I wonder whether they'll announce any other platforms on E3... I mean if it had more platforms why not post it with the other box-arts?

If you don’t like the current discussion, feel free to take a break from the thread. I hate it when people post just to tell others to shut up.NotaKuroi wrote:Guys, maybe we stop it?
The same reason they held off from announcing the Wii version?rayguy wrote:I wonder whether they'll announce any other platforms on E3... I mean if it had more platforms why not post it with the other box-arts?
