I wouldn't believe that article for a second, as right off the bat it's wrong. :lol:that3Dguy said:http://www.fpstime.com/2011/05/cry-engine-3-sdk-version-on-august-11/RayFan9876 said:Crymod? MyCrysis? InCrysis?that3Dguy said:i remember reading it on some crysis forum website not sure witch one?
It's actually the exact opposite. You will be able to create objects and maps NOT for Crysis 2.You will be able to recreate objects and maps for Crysis 2.

then from now on you're my new biggest herothat3Dguy said:yes but it's gonna be called instrumental heavenikke471 said:are you gunna re-make band land too because i would love to see that!
on CE3, we aren't sure yet, but it should be automatically cross-compatible.ikke471 said:sorry for the double post but how are you gunna make it on the wii, ps3 and xbox360 cause i wanna know if i have to hack em to play this.
both (maeby the fact that i let the gamecube crash by trying to hack it had something to do with it)that3Dguy said:why is it a family wii or you just cant hack it because you don't know how.
well it was an estimated guess( and a bad one at that) and yes i know i will have to do every thing from scratch and are you sure the wii is not powerful enough to run ce2 or 3? also yes i know i will run into problems ( i already have with cry engine 2) and are you sure crytek said that?RayFan9876 said:Okay., forget the Wii guys, the Wii isn't powerful enough to support CryEngine 2 or 3. However Crytek has stated they wish to bring their engine to the Wii-U when it comes out.
Also The3Dguy, I know you said that you want to get a demo out by early next year, but I highly doubt anyone could work that fast, especially alone when planning to use CryEngine2. However I don't know how easy to use or how efficient the CE3 SDK will be when it comes to making your games from scratch. Remember that you're going to have to do everything by scratch when it comes, and a standard team of 25-50 people working on an indie game will usually, according to today's standards, take at least a year to produce even an alpha.
Basically just letting you know that it won't go as fast as you think, especially taking into account that some things are bound to go wrong requiring finding ways around the problems which often stall development. It happens to everybody. :mryellow:
Yes, I am 400% sure. CryEngine2 isn't nearly optimized enough to run on any console, and CryEngine3, even though heavily optimized (it looks better while running twice as fast and smooth), can only be played on consoles at a medium setting. The Wii is less than half as powerful as the 360 and PS3. In short, the Wii has crap hardware that has been out of date since 2003.that3Dguy said:well it was an estimated guess( and a bad one at that) and yes i know i will have to do every thing from scratch and are you sure the wii is not powerful enough to run ce2 or 3? also yes i know i will run into problems ( i already have with cry engine 2) and are you sure crytek said that?RayFan9876 said:Okay., forget the Wii guys, the Wii isn't powerful enough to support CryEngine 2 or 3.
