Wow, that's a lot, i'm only doing 1 computer image.
Yeah, I'm trying to do as much work as I can - maybe the judges would notice ''My God, that guy has too much time on his hands''.
That would pretty much win the whole thing for you.
I hope so
...oh, I'm eating breakfast right now and I have an idea for a 6th entry, much simpler than the others.
You are eating breakfast now, I'm about to have lunch though I had to be woken up 3 times. :boon:
What is your other idea then?
This is silly but cool - sandwiches with Origins characters in some funny pose.

Then I'm taking the picture and eating it.
Sounds tasty! :D
Yep, and I could get my wish - nom up the Teensy Wizard :3
Just have one with a bite taken out of it, and the character like "oh noes! :( "
Don't worry about them - they would get to visit the Organic Caves :)
I was thinking of doing a cake with iHeckler9, or some cookies! :) Then if he wins I get to join him. :bad:
Wow. Eleven quotes. :tssk:

I have a Photoshop question for anyone out here using it. I've got this image, and I rescaled it because it didn't fit with the rest of the drawing proportionally, but that also caused its lines to be much thicker than the rest of the drawing and it looks out of place. I'd like to reduce the line size, but haven't found any help from my dear friend Google so far. It's no detail yet, just a steady blue set of lines outlining and detailing a character - but no shades or anything.
I had the following ideas, but just don't know how to complete (most of) them:
-Magic Tool select the image outline, shift it one pixel to the right and one down, then use it as some sort of erasing mask to thin out the lines.
-Somehow scale down the lines manually.
-Draw over the lines by using them as a template and then just recreating the image as accurately as I can - this is more timeconsuming and harder to do, but it will probably give off the best results.

Just out of interest though, I would like to know how to complete the other two processes, if possible. I will probably just do the redrawing thing in the end, but I'd like to hear about the possibilities first, if anyone would like to help out.
Thanks!

Once you have the outline selected, go Select -> Modify -> Contract and enter the number of pixels you wish to shift it by. That will make the selection thinner. Then you can invert the selection (Shift+Ctrl+i) and clean everything around it with the Eraser (or just hit Delete if you don't have anything other than the outline on that layer)

Thanks, Matyuv! I had already tried something like that, but then without the inversion. It works quite well. Though I think the result is a little too pixelated. Should I in that case just use the already present drawing as a template and then just draw over it in a new layer, trying to match the original to the best? I think that might, in this case, be the best alternative. Or are there other ways of getting rid of the pixelated edges?

Well, I haven't tried this myself, but perhaps after contracting the selection, you can also try Select -> Modify -> Smooth and see if that works better?

edit: just tested it, it does seem to give better results, but the effect only became visible when I set the sample radius to 10.

Tomorrow I'll be able to fully finish my drawing, and I'll send it to the contest e-mail. :)

I'll only need to resend later another e-mail with the scanned version (the drawing is bigger than my scanner and for fully scan it I need to bring it to other place).

I won a few contests here and there. But I'm generally very inactive unless I get in the Rayman mojo again. D:

Who knows. I need to get some inspiration first and think of something original.

:D

Maybe I'll stick here for a while longer since Michel is actively working on Rayman again as we hoped. It would have been sad to see such a well developed character die.
