These files are unfortunately some kind of "shortcuts" intended for now obscure video player. I don't think they will work nowadays. Shame we didn't think about it bbefore interview deadline.

as for R/L picture, would love to but I haven't been able to load the menu with said artwork in years anymore. (as soon I upgraded my PC out of windows 98, anyway). Always getting this weird error message about Direct X in French.

Beta looking Time race HNNNNNNGGGGGHHHHH

These were realplayer files which were long debunked. Perhaps googling the file names would be worth a shot. Never mind. Someone's got to have those hiding on their harddrives somewhere.

I don't know French, but I wanna help - and in case of DX, I may be successful! Please copy the message here!

EDIT: Those even weren't video files: these are unaltered "shortcuts" to probably destroyed Ubi server with some kind of ancient YouTube using RealPlayer.

Maybe Ubi still has them stored somewhere in some archive... or maybe Ancel has copies of them in his own home! ... yes... yes... let's RAID HIS HOUSE.

Well, here goes! :)

This thing pops up whenever I try to boot the .exe file. from what I've understood it probably wants me to install some old version of DX, but the install button for it never works. (+ don't really want to face the consequences of installing such ancient version on W7. D: )

Indeed it does not find the right version of DX. You probably even can't install it. Did you have a Win98 CD with your old PC?

EDIT: To all techies, I think about VM and unaccelerated DX-something. Probably DX6 or DX5, if the stuff does not want to work.

Yeah, and I think I should still have that CD saved somewhere. Would it help?

It could depending on the CD. What would be possible is a very lengthy process which is basically making a fake PC in your own one, installing Win98 on it, then running program in question on it. Do you want me to explain it further?

Ah, I've heard of such a thing and actually considered trying that.. but all the instructions felt too complicated for me so I never did (in fears that I might mess up something). :P Don't think that I'd be up to it even now.

But Haruka said that she has this content on her game disc as well, chances are slim but maybe she'll have more luck to get this thing to boot than me? Thanks for the help, anyway! :)

To rechapter the stuff, I've shown a picture of Japanese Polokus mixing up something in a cauldron before, but I'm going to post it again because it appears that quite recently the official Japanese website of Rayman Revolution was shutted down (I'm glad I've captured these pictures before). Here you have:

Image

For Ly kissing Rayman's nose, it is an edited image that users see when passing the cursor in the official artwork of Rayman holding Ly, in Rayman 2 Making-Of menu:

Image

I'm pretty sure the interviews that were available in Rayman 2: The Great Escape's official website are the same ones I have in Rayman Collector's disc, I even uploaded this on YouTube before:

@Drolpiraat The picture of Razorbeard in a cannon side to an Henchman 800 and Spyglass isn't quite new around here (although it is a rare picture), as it is present in the N64 manual of Rayman 2: The Great Escape. I even scanned it once with high resolution. If anyone wants I can upload it here later.

And in the same official website, when I was doing information huntings before, I've found out a quite rare video too of quick animations of Rayman in his new style in 3D, that I've uploaded in YouTube at the time I found it:

I'm still waiting to find anyone that menaged to collect at the time when RaymanWorld.com was working, the video of the Henchmen 800 finding Catastrox's egg, aswell the Henchman 800 playing Hopscotch with PlayStation symbols.

Awesome! That's the exact same menu (+ interview) that my Rayman Gold has. :') Ah memories.
As for Henchmen finding Catastrox's egg, I have faint memories of actually having a video file of that one but not sure if it's still there. It was on my first computer and I didn't have any external drives to store stuff from that time.

Part of that footage in the video is the Rayman 1 GameBoy Color introduction.

You mean they are separate videos? If not, aren't they both in the Rayman Revolution trailer, near the end?

Anyway I checked Archive again and I can't find any of them on there. Raymanworld.com is archived but the archive is far from complete, sadly.
I found the files the Realplayer shortcuts link to as well, but they haven't been archived. :( I think I posted all of the interesting stuff too.
The only cool thing I could still find is a really old official Rayman 1 site (1996 I think).
I'm going to check if the old Rayman 3 flash website and the ones for 1, 2 and M have anything archived now.

Gwah sorry, looks like I don't have the video file anymore. Checked my external drive last night, nothing. I also burned some of these videos onto a CD as a kid, but there's a chance that I've thrown them away in some of my room clean ups. I must've thought that they would be fairly useless to keep around.. how silly of me. D:

Oh god I remember Raymanworld. That's almost going as far back as the 1998 one.

I'm old.

Heh I managed to visit Raymanworld a few times, though I just stared all the pretty pictures since English was all gibberish to me back then. :'D Still, good memories.
