Re: Rayman 1.5: Revenge of the Dark
I just played Revolution and noticed your model is quite accurate, except maybe for the feet, which need to be downscaled a little bit. But I think you just said you had noticed that yourself.
Well, good luck; it already looks really good!

HA

Just noticed that!He is first seen earlier in Mount Kollapso plowing through stone men (in a non-homosexual context).

Though, his sexual orientation still remains unconfirmed.
Thanks Shrewb and Frenchie!

o my fucking god that is goodRayFan9876 wrote:I'll send it to you once I think the model's finished. All I have to do is work on the brow (probably the hardest part).
As for now, here's a quick screen of the new HD scarf. I know the shoes look grainy, but that's because I was in a hurry to post this (they shouldn't be grainy anyway, I'll look into that). There's also the 4x resolution O, but it's hard to see here:
It's cool because, when I think about it, I didn't have the skill to do this half a year ago. It would have sucked. Its mostly thanks to a certain technique I picked up from a video.
hey do you think you can improve my model a bit

Re: Rayman 1.5: Revenge of the Dark
You're using the Rayman 3 model right? There isn't much more to work on for that model. Ubisoft didn't really take away from the Rayman 3 game model, they just lowered the polygons basically, so you could just use a Mesh Smooth modifier. If there's anything you can point out to me though I'll help.

A-a-alright. Droolie, here's the updated proportions. The feet aren't as flat as your picture, but I found that when I made them as flat it just started looking a bit weird, so I met it half way:

And here's a front and back view (not from the game camer):

That's very good indeed! Maybe for the eyebrows, as you said you needed help with them, you could look at the boxart for R2 - they're quite visible there.

Re: Rayman 1.5: Revenge of the Dark
It looks awesomely spectacular! But, please forgive me for this, but I still have a hitch with the torso's shape.

Urgh, yes, I just looked at it again after a few hours and it still looks odd. I'll, once again, try to fix it for sure this time when I get home.

Re: Rayman 1.5: Revenge of the Dark
I think this might be because it's not quite symmetrical, and pointy on the underside. Just pointing you in the direction of where the problem may lie - that you actually managed to get this far is better than I would pull off!
Re: Rayman 1.5: Revenge of the Dark
That definitely looks a whole lot better
I think it still looks a bit weird because the torso and the head (not as much as the torso so don't focus on that) are still vertically stretched, which means the distance between torso and feet still isn't large enough, I think. And the torso seems to be a bit pointy at the bottom now (lol now Rayman has a dick again), like Shrooblord said. Hope that helps!
For some reason it looks perfect from the back though (except for the hair but I suppose you're going to fix that). I have no idea why...

Re: Rayman 1.5: Revenge of the Dark
Ah, thank you for pointing the pointy bottom-torso out! I covered it up with my finger and it looks miles better.
It also does seem slightly vertically stretched still. I'll shrink his height down by 2-3%. It should do the trick.
And the hair looks odd from the back because the thickness of Rayman's hair (which is obviously quite thin) and the thickness of the head (which is obviously quite a bit thicker)... Well you know. The hair currently has the same thickness throughout, so I'm trying to currently make it fade into the thickness of the head. It's a bit uncooperative though for some reason.

Rayman looks so cute! X3
I also find there's a strange thing in the torso, maybe some smoothing can fix that.

Re: Rayman 1.5: Revenge of the Dark
Hey RayFan, I'm making a Flash 2D game and since your game is so epic I can give you lots of my ideas, if you want! Like for the Ice Volcano - to reach some special item maybe:
1. falling stalactites, and a riddle where you have to get speed and run across the field where the stalactites fall really fast, and then you get to the other side.
2. if some platforms could be slippery, you could use this mechanic where, when you get enough speed on the slippery ground you jump farther, and this could be used to get to the other side (again.)
I have lots of inspirations so if you want my assistance in puzzles etc., you can ask me. In fact, I'm helping my fellow game-maker friend in making puzzles for his game, because ''Rulez has a more twisted imagination''.

Re: Rayman 1.5: Revenge of the Dark
Will you make themes for the main enemies like in Rayman 2 and Rayman 3?

I'll send it to you as soon as I think I've got it as perfect as I can make it.
