Which Rayman character scares you?

I even today jump out of the chair when I'm caught by one when I'm not expecting.
i had this too (ps2 but still)
i jumped out of my chair and like everyone around me looked at me (birthday)

Surprise attacks. That happened to me at least a hundred times out there. Especially level 2 gets me on edge. As the knaaren are allowed to move freely and they don't follow any patterns. I did learn that if you carefully come closer, they will eventually walk slowly in large circles. Just as long until they're far enough to stop again, or close enough to notice you and come after you. After you make enough distance again, they'll go idle once more.

I wonder though...if it's possible to use this to your advantage. Like driving them into a corner so that they'll never bother you as long as you keep your distance.

I've never been afraid of Knareen surprisingly, the worst they ever did was make me flinch, but that was nothing compared to the horror I saw with the Mini-Janos, I often got too close to them and was eaten...all of this whilst I was a kid, the Knareen paled in comparison to that.

Indeed, the Mini-Jano in the Sanctuary of Stone and Fire is creepy. :/ It took a long time for me to understand how to beat him. x) I don't know how much time I've spent to look around, wondering myself "Where is he hiding !? T.T".
Thankfully, Rayman 2 isn't a first-person game.^^'

I don't know if this topic already exist with another name or something.
What is your scariest moments when you've played a Rayman game?

Mine would be when you have beaten Razoff before the basement fight. When you're alone in his house. I remember having a dream when I was exploring the house after the fight and suddenly, I hear his footsteps. When I'm trying to go to the basement, he appears and is running towards me (like when you've beaten him in those mini-fights with him)

And I could also swear that this occured in real life when I've played the game. And since then, I've always been scared about his house.

What's your scariest moments then? :o

Zombie Chickens in Rayman 2, when they suddenly come out of the swamp. And the Zombie Chickens in TDotK... *shiver*
Or when Knaaren are getting close to you.

Luckily I paid attention to the Demos in the Start menu, so I got the gist of it quite quickly.
As for my scariest moment, probably the Zombie Chickens in Rayman 3, along with when the Knareen corner you.

I never got scared when playing a Rayman game, but I do have to say it was quite scary in The Cave of Bad Dreams when you're being chased by that one monster, and the camera view is from inside his mouth. Also, the zombie chickens are a bit creepy too.

I'm not sure about what to say. We have a topic for scary characters. Should this be moved to that topic?

On the note of the Jano-cam, I tend to experience a little graphical glitch nowadays. It's not really for this topic, but as we were talking about it, it reminded me. I remember the chase as it would be normally, no errors, but now, whenever I play the level, Jano's mouth is cut off by the sides, top and bottom of the screen - his mouth is too small to fit in the area designed for it. This is quite ugly and offputting and I hope there's a solution to it - is there?

I used the resolution hack to play at my monitor's largest capacity of 1280x1024. If that's the problem, then I guess I'll just have to turn off the hack whenever I want to play the Cave. Too bad - the hack makes the game look SO much nicer.

I was playing Rayman 3 once, and a 4 year old came in, and when he saw Globox he screamed.
Globox is awesome! How do you freak out?
He didn't. The child of four years that walked in as Greenbottle was playing screamed. And actually, I maybe even could imagine - Globox in R3 can be quite scary sometimes. I think it's a little out-of-context here to be judging. Drunken Globox would scare the frick out of me too if I saw him in real life.
