Missing out is purely subjective based on what one primarily counts as A) important, B) wanted. For the first possibility, I will describe a situation in which one might feel that they are "missing out" on a highly important opportunity. For example, Johnny walks down the street, foot over foot, stride upon stride, and hand crossing over hand. An entirely ambiguously dressed stranger emerging from a shop apparently selling goods walks up to Johnny, rests a hand on his shoulder, and begins to speak. He tells Johnny of a vaccine that may very well protect the user, in this case Johnny (as being directed) from obtaining cancer caused by solar UV radiation. As you can see, this would be a useful and important vaccine, especially on an extraordinarily heated day. Johnny listens and considers the strange shopkeepers offer, and considers it for a long moment. Johnny is moving around neurons in his brain, trying to connect to another and decide whether or not this could be taken as a useful deliberation of his time. While it would protect him from the harmful solar UV rays of the sun that have a chance at pleasantly presenting him with cancer, he also considers that taking this vaccine could possibly be a large waste of his previous time and money. When he reaches a conclusion, he looks at the strange shopkeeper, holds up his hand and extends his middle finger. The shopkeeper is baffled by the apparent rudeness and unconventional method of saying presenting a negative response, and extends his own arm, spreading his fingers to strike Johnny repeatedly across the face. Johnny too is startled by the shopkeeper's odd retaliation to his off-flipping that he swiftly bends down, pushing his mass into the ground, then quickly propels his foot upward, striking the shopkeeper in the testicles. The shopkeeper then lets out a shrill cry of pain as his face distorts into an agonizing expression, and he begins to collapse to the ground, unaffected by the pain of colliding with the concrete sidewalk. The only thing on his mind is the relentless pain in which Johnny has inflicted upon him with his foot. Johnny glances downward at the shopkeeper and raises the corners of his mouth, creating a grin. He is clearly satisfied by his dominance over the shopkeeper in terms of brute strength and combat skills, so much so that he doesn't feel the need to spend a small amount of money and use only a few mere minutes obtaining a vaccine to improve one's own life. He walks away, leaving the shopkeeper on the ground in a foetal position, rocking back and forth, moaning. Ten years later, Johnny hears on the news channel being broadcasted to his television that the ozone layer of the Earth has been once and for all thinned enough to infinitely let in and trap the suns harmful UV rays. Johnny feels slightly affected by this catastrophe, as it could very well mean the end of both phosphoric in addition to botanical life as we so dearly and truthfully know it. However, Johnny prefers to only consider or process the thought of being in the present time, the designated point you move along in the fourth dimension, the time which is neither the future nor the past, but which is the present time that is commencing at this very moment, constantly shifting forward along said W axis. Thirty years later, while visiting his clinition, the doctor he treads toward whenever he has any sort of sickness, this doctor frightfully mourns to Johnny that he has incurable cancer, and that his life span may deplete only shortly after he exits the clinic. Johnny is stricken with grief by this horrendous news, but isn't entirely derived from his own sense of self-preservation, as only a small approximate percentage, 1.82639230572498472% (one-point-eight-two-six-three-nine-two-three-zero-five-seven-two-four-nine-eight-four-seven-two percent) remains to protect this celestial body and all its inhabitants, both zoological and botanical. The inferred reasoning for Johnny's extenuate grieving is that when he had the opportunity, instead of creating collision between his hard, cleated boot and the long-expired shopkeepers scrotum, he could have seized the opportunity by the shoulders (in a verbally metaphoric sense of course) and inquired the shopkeeper about the price of the vaccine. Then once said information has been collected, he could further process whether or not to receive the vaccination or to abandon the thought, never to be reminded of it again. If the neurons within Johnny's mind have connected in such a way so that the outcome produces positive endorphins, then Johnny would gladly purchase the vaccine from the shopkeeper and furthermore leave him unharmed. Instead of creating friction between his boot and the shopkeepers factory, he would decide to extend his arm in a pleasing matter, making the shopkeeper also extend his arm. They would then grasp each others' hand, perhaps all the way up to the radius, and they from there successfully have established a promising friendship, as the shopkeeper has preserved Johnny's life for the upcoming catastrophe. That is of course... unless the butterfly effect takes place, meaning because Johnny took in the vaccine, the catastrophe never took place. If that is the case, then Johnny should be awarded a Nobel Prize for his honourable duties to the country of Zimbabwe. The second case could be of someone who wishes for something so extensively that she will do anything she wishes to obtain what she wants, including missing out on an important event. For example, Joan is approached by the shopkeeper. The shopkeeper briskly puts his hand on her shoulder and presents to her the vaccine which could cure cancer, as stated in the previous example. Joan is very interested in the vaccine and would naturally commit to such an act, but she does not wish to miss an event she previously had planned for. So after an extensive deliberation over whether or not she should take the vaccine and miss out on her original plans to spectate a showing of Dakar's new play named Frenchio and Blackiet, or to miss the wonderful play to obtain a vaccine that may or may not be a potent scam. After much extensive deliberation, Joan bends down, pressing all her mass into the sturdy concrete below, and forces her UGGS boot in coincidence with the corresponding physicality above, the shopkeepers balls. The shopkeeper then belts a crying roar of pain and collapses to the ground below, which scrape certain parts of his body. He is seemingly unaffected by this though, as the unbearable pain of the nutcracker has him transfixed on only one thing, the fact that he no longer has a fertility unit. Satisfied with her decision, Joan merrily treads off to the local hut and takes a seat to watch a brilliantly cheap rip-off of a play. So as you can see, missing out is merely if one does not have the chance to engage in a certain activity. The situation you have been presented with Rayman3DS is not a situation that can be missed out on, because the only choice you have to commit to is the action of scrolling through the pages of this Rayman Pirate-Community internet board thread, so namely called "Sexual Identity of Deslife" located in the Member's Forum. This entire post may be dismissed however if all you wished was to be a part of this lovely discussion, focused primarily on the debate of Deslife's sexual orientation.
Bloody hell RayFan, what are you trying to do to us?
Brainwash your minds and feed you to the dinosaurs obviously. It's what Deslife would have wanted, as I have finally discovered Des's true identity... [Deslife is a dinosaur.]

I feel that an explaination would be suitable here.
What you see here is a giant wall of text, but inside that wall of text there are hidden lines of text.
These hidden lines of text are impossible to see with the naked eye, only your subconscious mind can see it.
This is what we call: Subtext.
Rayfan's true intentions was to brainwash you with subtext, perhaps to feed us to ancient beasts.
But why would she do such a thing?
Perhaps to prevent us from knowing the horrible truth that is Ḏ͙̂͑ͧ͛̚ë̯̞́̽s͍̦͙̲̰̄l͕̃̒̽i̥͈̞̙̣ͦ̌ͧͦͪ͋ͫf, for you see, Ḏ͙̂͑ͧ͛̚ë̯̞́̽s͍̦͙̲̰̄l͕̃̒̽i̥͈̞̙̣ͦ̌ͧͦͪ͋ͫf is actually an ancient alien dinosaur
