so.. i'm quitte dissapointed with the ending... and why is voodo/big mama a nymph?
also i wanna play it noaw!!!! :cry:

The big IPK file on XeNTaX is from the demo. I extracted it using the script that aluigi posted as a reply. It works great - that guy is a hero.

Wait, what did you think was going to happen? I watched the second ending (which seemed a bit weird and anticlimactic), and it didn’t feature that character at all. The guy recording the playthrough stopped at the end of the second credits... could there be something afterwards?

I noticed it in the game itself; you can hear it when you shoot that chilli pepper guy.
 
I almost read Rulez spoiler comment... but glad I read the second post before doing so. Then I was going to post this comment, by quoting the spoiler comment.... Turned my head away just on time!
But geez, I can't decide, should I get RO for the Wii, Zelda SS and another RO for the 3DS later, OR Mario 3D Land, SS and painfully wait for the 3DS versions of RO...

[There is a 19-second sound file (stored as music, so not in the sound pack) in which you can hear machines, an organ, a surprised grunt from Mr Dark and then a long kissing sound. I thought Big Mamma was going to turn into the Glute version of her and fall in love with Mr Dark - just like what happened with Razoff and Begoniax in Rayman 3. Since it's named "sound_cine_end_01" I thought that was the true ending of the game.]

[Well, the only video of the ending that there's on Youtube stops after the credits, so we can't be really sure if there's a video or not after that. also, I was surprised to see Big Mamma as a nymph rather than a glute like Globox.]

[Wait....if Big Mamma really is a nymph...and that ending does happen...wouldn't that mean Mr. Dark gets a "Good" Ending? Hahaha XD]

I was never convinced by this information, considering that Betiila never speaks in the game (except the noises she makes in the PlayStation version, but that was clearly made with midi sounds). So yeah, I'm pretty sure IMDb just put the names to characters at random. I could never work out what that made of Cosso's role, but now you bring up the subject of Space Mama...
 
I know Betilla’s speech is just the same few murmurs repeated again and again, but I’ve always assumed it was initially provided by a voice actress. Did anyone ever extract the sounds from R1? It would be interesting to listen to them all at once and see if we can identify the voice actors. Has anyone else realised that Doug Rand must have voiced every single male character in Rayman Origins? He’s bound to be reprising some sort of role.

I have Betilla, Joe and some recordings of Rayman, but aside from Bettila, not actually ripped no. Someone should actually do that.
I guess Betilla's voice could have been done by sampling Cosso yes - but it still doesn't change my view on what IMBd did

The story of Rayman Origins is too confusing for me..

SPOILERS AHEAD!

[So as far as I know, Rayman and his friends annoy the creatures which were leaving in the Land of the Livid Dead. Eventually the monsters capture them and then.. what happens next? Why are they going on this grand adventure anyway? To get revenge? To put Polokus' nightmares back where they belong? ]

[I also don't understand what's Mr Dark's role in the game. He appears in the ''The Reveal'' as a boss but it is never explained if he's the king of the Land of the Livid Dead or not. It is also never explained why he created these robots.]

[There's one more thing that I don't understand. Is the magician supposed to be Mr Dark? Could that mean that Mr Dark was a Teensie the whole time? Or is the magician a fan of Mr Dark and wants to be like him?]

The game features numerous objectives, most of which are self-explanatory. Defeating evil monsters, freeing Electoons to mend roads to other worlds, rescuing nymphs to open the Dreamer’s Door and find out what’s going on in the Moody Clouds, and collecting Skull Teeth to open the way to the Land of the Livid Dead.

The script explains this in detail. [The entire conflict between the heroes and the Livid Dead was engineered by Mr Dark. He hid a microphone in the Snoring Tree to get the Livid Dead angry with Rayman and his friends and provoke them into invading the Glade of Dreams. Mr Dark has a hatred for chaos and an obsession with order, discipline and reason; he considers the Bubble Dreamer to be an immature idiot whose nightmares endanger the world. He created the robots (which are powered by the Lums he took from the heroes) in order to help him take over the world and impose order.] However, in an inexplicable decision, it seems that all of this dialogue was completely removed from the game, leaving The Reveal ambiguous and confusing.

[It seems that the Magician was Mr Dark (and a Teensy) all along. There is one line in the script where someone seems to be admiring Mr Dark’s mysterious darkness, which led to some confusion, but it’s probably just the Bubble Dreamer’s appraisal of the Teensies’ Mr Dark skin.]
 
^ Ok, ok ok, I'll try to put some order here. The story of Rayman Origins is messy as fuck, but I think I discovered what's going on:

( Rayman & friends were sleeping at the snoring tree and then got caught by the livid dead, one of Bubble Dreamer's nightmares. The livid dead people were so angry that they decided to stop happiness in rayman's world, and with the help of more evil nightmares, they caught all of the electoons and nymphs to produce tons of chaos. The only way to stop the evil forces to which the Bubble Dreamer fears is to slap them and amuse the Bubble Dreamer. The reason of their travel is to save the electoons, the nymphs and to kill the nightmares.

Coincidentally, the Magician appeared after a lot of years, and asks rayman to gets those precious shiny creatures called Lums as he travels, so he will give him some electoons in exchange. Rayman, unknowing the Magician's purposess, doesn't care and accepts the offer so he would help the other electoons. Rayman trusts the Magician, so there's no reason to fear what would happen to the poor lums...right?

When all of the nymphs are free, they say that there's a huge evil force at the top of the mountain. Rumours around the Glade of Dreams say that Mr Dark was back. Mr Dark is Rayman's nemesis, so he totally forgot about the Livid Dead people and decided to go to the top of the mountain and defeat him. To get there, Rayman needs the help of the magic from the kings of all of the lands. Sadly, those kings were turned into nightmares by the Bubble Dreamer's bad dreams, so it's up to Rayman to defeat them, turn them back to normal and then ask them for help to get to the mountain.

After that...THE REVEAL! Rayman discovers that the evil force that he was trying to find was always to his side: the Magician. According to some info, the real Mr Dark died a long time ago, but nobody knew it, only the magician. The magician was so amazed about the power of those little lums that he totally freaked out and left Rayman for a lot of years, to investigate their power. Then, he made a decision: he would be the next Mr Dark, and create an impressive steampunk world with gigantic machines and robot security guards. That's right, the magician betrayed rayman for power over-dose, he didn't want to be good anymore.

According to the daily bubble, those machines were designed to control the weather of the glade of dreams, so that's basically the magician's purpose: to use the energy of the lums that he stole from rayman to feed his weather-control machines. After Rayman kills the Magician and destroys his evil empire, he, globox and the two teensies decide to take a nap... but they forgot about the Bubble Dreamer's primordial nightmare: the Livid Dead. Since the nightmares were weakened, those grannies can't do anything underground, so it's optional to kill them. If Rayman decides to stop the nightmares at 100%, then he should get the Skull teeth to bribe the Grim Reaper so he would let them pass. After defeating all of the grannies and crossing the land of the livid dead, big mama appears. When rayman defeats her, he discovers that she was a lost nymph, possibly, the nymph from the Land of the Livid Dead, and then, the story is cut. I don't know what's next since the guy stopped the playthrough during the credits, but if it ends like that, I may suppose that the lost Nymph helps Rayman to clean up the nightmares from the land of the livid dead.)

THE END.

EDIT: OH SHIT! I didn't know that microphone thing, spiraldoor! that would be helful for the plot too.
 
I have an idea! Since we can see that after [ the normal ending and getting all Teeth, the Magician's hat is still there! Could this mean he survived and decided to stay where he used to be and when you jump on his hat he tells the stuff from the script. I mean, check it; he is there!]
 
The guy who recorded that playthrough is a massive boon for not jumping on the Magician’s hat once the way to the Land of the Livid Dead had been opened. He’s bound to say something interesting. (I suppose it’s possible that, like Rayman 2, Rayman Origins doesn’t save once you finish the game, and that the Moody Clouds has therefore not yet been completed by the time Rayman reaches the Land of the Livid Dead. Maybe you get a different ending (with the cut dialogue) if you go to the Moody Clouds after finishing the Land of the Livid Dead?)
