At 56 Im sure I am one of the oldest on here. I find the game totally addictive and I havent got off Jibberish Jungle yet. Do I have to fill all the medallions before I can move on?

No, you just have to finish all levels. Then you can go on to the second world, if not, your Disc may be corrupted.
