Re: Rare Rayman Pictures
The ones I own are already in R2 design, not Rayman 1.
Re: Rare Rayman Pictures
No idea about these, you'll have to share a picture
Also, did anyone know about the Disney Adventures Rayman 2 comic? I'm pretty sure everyone does considering this is the place of super Rayman fans
but I've only jst found it. I really did not know of it's existence

Stace owns it.
Re: Rare Rayman Pictures
It really does read like if Rayman was a Saturday Morning Cartoon

It’s amazing in that it makes the animated series look good by comparison.

Re: Rare Rayman Pictures
OH jfc I just remembered how old I was when I first saw that comic... arrg still 13... shit makes me feel old.
Re: Rare Rayman Pictures
Somethings can be so cheesy that they're good, and this comic fits the build! Oh, and I also quite like the slightly wacky art style - particularly on Globox
I bet if I had a copy of this when I was little I would have just worshiped it, read it every night and be all 'RAYMAN IS A COMIC
' despite the fact that it is based on Rayman 2 and also contains cheesy videogame tie in syndrome. And then in the end all the pages would have fallen out
Also, while I'm here - Rayman: The Animated Series rules, and don't you forget it

Re: Rare Rayman Pictures
It was published in the UK in early 2001, possibly earlier in the US, so for somebody in the mid 20s [I'm nearly 25] that's a long time.
Eh looking at it now it just reeks of eyeballing, ie copying most of the Rayman 2 concept art.
Some games magazines claimed that in France there were more comics but since I have never seen any more than Hands Down emerge I call bullshit. Never know though, somebody did find that SNES prototype after all for example.

I still want to find out more about that SNES prototype.
Someday, maybe...

Oh my, this is quite a good find, thanks for the scan stace!

Re: Rare Rayman Pictures
That comic is nice, but I can't help but notice that Rayman wears pink clothes and has a double-chin most of the time.
Re: Rare Rayman Pictures
Whoa, that's a much better scan then the one I found!Rayfist090 wrote: thanks for the scan stace!
The copy I found had a slight fold on the first page making it hard to read - and also the person who uploaded didn't know what Rayman was

But yes, that was... very mediocre. I was expecting something a little more from "Disney Adventures."
Re: Rare Rayman Pictures
In the fouth page, where Globox is saying "Time for a rain dance!", he has three fingers on one hand and four on the other.

Hah, I noticed that.THEdragon wrote:In the fouth page, where Globox is saying "Time for a rain dance!", he has three fingers on one hand and four on the other.
I found that panel rather lame. I didn't have much of a problem with the rest of the comic, but how he freed Globox was just stupid.
