Rayfans computer hard drive controller chip screwed up! Meaning her ROTD files are in danger! We dont want anything bad to happen to them!
However she is in progress of getting it fixed, this is a 2 month fix this will be a expensive price as well!
Yeah, and I'm fucking pissed off about it. One day I wake up to go on my computer, only to find out my hard drive no longer shows up in the Computer home folder. I remove it from its external casing thinking that it might might be because the case had a broken port, then tried it in all seven of my SATA slots. No avail. I try bringing it to two other computer sand testing it, no avail. A very strange thing is that it spins up just fine, but like Rayfist said, it turns out the controller is broken. What does that mean? It means I have to ship it all the way to Toronto from Vancouver to have my files recovered, and that takes a month or two and costs about a thousand dollars plus shipping.

Fucking hell, I've worked so hard to build up what I have, only to have the most unusual strike me down at the most inopportune times. How common is this problem? Extremely uncommon. Now for seemingly no reason I have to make another thousand bucks, however many months that will take, then add on the time it takes to ship and fix and then ship back. What an utter waste of my time, all this to merely restore what I had and lost for reasons completely out of my control.

In the midst of all that crap, here is soundtrack part 23:

1. "The Billowing Dunes: No Room for One" - 0:00 <-- The scene where Limpy saves Rayman
2. "Glaciation Bay: Le Crevasse" - 2:12 <-- My heart and soul - picture a cave within a glacier at night with an endless crevasse below your feet
3. "Fort Night: A Musky River Ride" - 6:13 <-- Once you head down the river towards the Crying Moor
4. "The Darklands: Dark Moskito's Last Attempt" - 9:00 <-- Battle against Dark Moskito
5. "The Final Act: Phase One (redux)" - 11:13 <-- *

*Track five is a remake of the first track in this part:

WOW SERIOUSLY!!!!! That's extremely disastrous!!!

However, it doesn't sound like you actually know the culprit of the problem, as a controller or host adapter refers to the way for the computer to communicate with components (harddrive), and not the other way around. Since it's spinning up, it indicates that the mechanical parts should work fine, unless it actually emits clicking sounds, which is known as head crash. Contact me soon, and I'll do some more troubleshooting by feedback and by running some diagnosis tools through remote access.

These data most be saved at all cost. If we're unable to recover them ourselves, and the only choice is a professional data recovery company with a clean room, I'll gladly donate some money to you, and invite the whole community to do so.

But next time, I would REALLY recommend you to get a NAS server or use cloud storage like Wuala to synchronize your stuff into backups. Up-to-date backups of such huge projects are ALWAYS MANDATORY!

Holy sheet RayFan, you cannot be serious. :boon:

This is why I have the "bad" habit to do often backups of my junk.

I wished I could help with donations but I'm totally broken, and because of school I can't do commissions either.

You would donate money? Thank you, though I'm not sure if I could have you do that. I'll think about it. How much would you consider?

And once I get my drive back I'll make sure to use cloud storage, though that's a lot of cloud storage.

I would donate $60, $80 or even more if I have to.
Simply set up an account with PayPal, Amazon Payments or Google Checkout.
I can also do a bank transfer if necessary.

I never really thought I would get 50 tiny fairies in spheres for my 14th birthday.

Then again, I'll also be the first of my class to drink alcohol...

legally.

Ouch, that's terrible to hear Rayfan.

Unfortunately I have to keep an eye on my bank myself. But I wish you luck and my full support on getting things to turn out well.

My pockets are more than empty: they are rotten. If I was under a nice financial situation, I would donate in the minimum 5€, or 20€ in the maximum. But I really can't help, I wished I could... I hope you can repair the hard drive as soon as possible.

Unless you really want to, it's not necessary. For me, receiving gifts feels kind of odd.

So any thoughts on the soundtrack part?

Oh lucky you! For my birthday I just got a kick in the ass.

Alright, I'm saving up for RayFan. I have 6 PLN for now. I hope to have more in a week's time.
