Yeah, and I'm fucking pissed off about it. One day I wake up to go on my computer, only to find out my hard drive no longer shows up in the Computer home folder. I remove it from its external casing thinking that it might might be because the case had a broken port, then tried it in all seven of my SATA slots. No avail. I try bringing it to two other computer sand testing it, no avail. A very strange thing is that it spins up just fine, but like Rayfist said, it turns out the controller is broken. What does that mean? It means I have to ship it all the way to Toronto from Vancouver to have my files recovered, and that takes a month or two and costs about a thousand dollars plus shipping.Rayfist090 wrote:ITS important you guys read this
Rayfans computer hard drive controller chip screwed up! Meaning her ROTD files are in danger! We dont want anything bad to happen to them!
However she is in progress of getting it fixed, this is a 2 month fix this will be a expensive price as well!
Fucking hell, I've worked so hard to build up what I have, only to have the most unusual strike me down at the most inopportune times. How common is this problem? Extremely uncommon. Now for seemingly no reason I have to make another thousand bucks, however many months that will take, then add on the time it takes to ship and fix and then ship back. What an utter waste of my time, all this to merely restore what I had and lost for reasons completely out of my control.
