spiraldoor wrote:Your ‘Protip: You’re a mod’ post was patronising and immature, so you’re in no position to make accusations of ‘bitching’. As I said, I only wanted to raise the subject and have a discussion rather than rearranging the forum on my own without any input or approval. Do you really think that would have been better?
I didn't intend for it to be patronising, sorry. I was a little irritated at the time, mostly at how as soon as the sticky went up people from all four corners were coming in saying how crap RayTAS was. I didn't mean for it to hurt your feelings or anything. And the way your posts came across sounded like you were whining about the desicion and wanted a moderator to take pity on you or something.
See, that's one of the problems with me and the internet: No body language means I keep mis-interpriting people's posts. We can talk about it, if you like. (:
But still, I stand by my suggestion that you sticky the Ray4 thread. I mean, it's not like we have a limit or anything*.

- Razorbeard suddenly wants to be a slave master; he sets sail with the fleet of gigantic mechanical flying spaceships which he has inexplicably acquired, travels *away* from the Glade of Dreams, spends the next few million years reducing a hundred peaceful planets to dust, then suddenly decides to *return* to the Glade of Dreams, which he left for no particular reason, and...

Haha, the rearranging-face thing sounds kind of silly when you put it like that.

And I didn't say the pirates came from nowhere; maybe he built them or there's a planet of robot pirates that he found or something. I don't know.
...And who says it took him millions of years? I mean obviously IRL space travel would, but this is Rayworld we're talking about here. I don't think the same rules apply.
spiraldoor wrote:‘If you don’t like X, just go away.’ That old standby. It’s very short-sighted. Dissent is something that should be encouraged. If this animated series really is as good as you seem to think it is, someone should be able to make a convincing case for this viewpoint and address the criticisms that have been levelled against it, maybe even bringing people round to your perspective. That’s how discussion works, but unfortunately it seems that you would prefer to take part in one-sided fangirl gushing. Maybe it’s best if you just skip my posts in this thread from now on.
Firstly, i don't know if I've said this before, but I don't think RayTAS is good. I know it had bad writing, and bad voice-acting, and I know it's a total continuity headache, but it's despite (or maybe because of

) that that I like it so much.
(Not sure that sentence was worded correctly x.x)
Secondly, I'm all for debate, really. It's just that you're constantly telling us how bad it is whatever chance you get, almost like you're trying to convince us not to like it or something. o-o I mean, I agree with you on most if not all of your problems; difference is, I like the series and you don't. And I'm cool with that.
And I was using "fangirls" as a figure of speech. I don't really consider myself a fangirl. o-o I was, a few years ago, but I'm not quite that obsessional any more (:
TLDR sorry if I pissed you off, I'm all for debating.
* to a certain extent, it would be silly if every single Rayman topic was stickied
EDIT:

Haha, no you're not. I'm not dissapointed, just kind of shocked. o_o
