Awww... more scrapped stuffs.

Hey, I just thought of something: would there be the possibility of creating your own skins for the game?

I like how the Henchman 1000's sounds are labeled 'Fool 000xx'.
Wait a minute, is the Henchman 800 really labeled as Hunchman?! :cooool:

If you look well to the intro videos of Rayman M/Rush, you see a typo in Henchman's name, but at least you can see where Hunch pick up his nickname.

Could someone be so kind as to take a few screenshots of those 'warp cutscenes', between the menus? Without the hand, or, if that is impossible, with the hand to the side of the screen, so I can easily make a square / rectangle of most of the screenshot without the hand.

This is for a menu of a sort of 2d version of Rayman M / Arena I started working on yesterday. So far I have the basic platform engine done, as well as most of the sprites of Rayman (in game, correctly).

No idea, the game (rayman M) isn't installed and the CD is broken. I think I still have Rayman Arena for the Gamecube installed (via Dolphin) though, and I could of course easily download a torrent, but I don't know anything about ripping textures.

Also, this is probably a huge stretch, but could you (or someone else of course) rip the animations of the character, so that they fit in a 2d sidescroller like game? I already have Rayman, and I suppose I could use sabtertooth's site for Henchman 800 (I suppose I could create a crappy walk and fly animation), but, I suck at graphical stuff, so I can't do much beyond 'selecting legs and rotating them so that it looks like he's walking'.

This could work, right? One could 'position' the 3d-models so that you're looking straight at them, like in a 2d sidescroller, and take pictures of them. Right? I'm really a noob when it comes to stuff like this... Sorry for (probably) being vague about this. I just want those sprites, like on sabeertooth's site, but then for characters like Razorbeard, Globox, et cetera. Ideally also with all their skins... Yeah...

I don't know how hard this all is though... But wait. If this would have been possible, then wouldn't it have been possible to import our own skins and stuff? So I guess this is impossible...?

As a side note, those ripped graphics look awesome!

My, that's beautiful! I'll size it down and test it to see whether it looks fine in game, but, oh my, it looks soo much ncier than everything else, it seems to fit perfectly, it's just... I'm really at a loss of wors, this looks AWESOME! Thank you so very much! Thank you, THANK YOU!

Or tell us how you did it? Because if you can rip stuff, maybe you can also put them back in (i.e., custom skins and all)? Or isn't that possible?

Anyway, are you sure you ripped those sprites in the correct order? The walking animation is really weird and looks like crap (the animation, not the sprite)...? No offence though.

EDIT: Woops, I found the problem; the images somehow were reversed about halfway through (so it was like 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 15 14 13 12 11 10 et cetera). It's amazing, thank you again!

Hehe, I was just about to post that it worked perfectly now. And indeed, you're right, those last two frames disrupt the flow, so to say. It looks much nicer without them! Thank you so much!

Will you only rip the 'base characters', or also the skins?

Well, if someone were to send me their completed M/Arena saved game, I could do so easily. I can even make you your own skins if you want. No, I can't stick them back in Rayman M/Arena, but I can slap them on the rendered animations.

Well, I'm downloading Rayman Arena as we speak. I think the PC version of that is the same as Rayman M, concerning characters?

Do I need to manually (read: Cheat Engine for Lums Race) complete the game, or would that cheat (carnival?) also work?

And, hmm, maybe I'll ask you someday about designing custom skins, but I feel bad about giving you so much work.

All you really need is Photoshop or GIMP with a minimum of a DXT3 DDS plugin, and the character's base texture template, and you're good to go. I think there should be a way to insert them back into the game, but I haven't really looked into that.

Ok RayFan, I've just downloaded this file and I can confirm it has every single character and skin unlocked (while it says Rayman M on the page, I used it with Rayman Arena, but I guess it works for both...?).
