Rayman Origins & Texmod: bring YOUR creations to life!

Well, I really can't get this to work...

I ripped six textures, edited some of them, build a package with the accompanying TexMod.log, and then put the final .tpf in my main Rayman Origins directory. But it simply doesn't work.

Could it be because I have an illegal copy? Maybe someone could confirm or deny that, using this: http://www.2shared.com/file/8wKfHph4/Ctesiphon.html (the .tpf in the Out folder has been there, in my main Rayman Origins folder, and in the GameData folder, but nothing works)? It isn't finished yet, and I just discovered I forgot about alpha channels, so I fear this will look terribly ugly - if it works. :P

You're not supposed to put it in the program files folder. You must run it together with the game using Texmod in Package Mode. When you're there, click the large folder icon and select Rayman Origins.exe, and then click the small folder icon and the file should be there, otherwise redirect to it and press Run.

Ah, thank you, I have now selected my package in the package mode, and ran the game with the run button there. Yet it doesn't show up...

I already see what your problem is! Because you haven't edited all your textures, if only looks like your edits aren't working at first. Have your modified rayman throw some punches.

Also, there is a lack in transparency. :/ I suggest you start over before you continue on this one and resave your files as BMP.

Do BMPs actually have an alpha channel? I thought they didn't.

I am busy now with making a R2 styled rayman but I get this annoying white outline on everything I change.... does anyone knows how to get rid of it?

Update: There is a new mod live!

Also, there is now a short description under the mod files that explains which textures are affected and what is changed to them.

:mryellow: I thought you'd like it.

I'm going to make more mods, but not now. I've got many more things to do!

You mean japanese Rayman? I'm sorry. I have my own projects at the moment. Remind me on a PM and I'll get it done eventually
