I was never really all that bothered about them in the first place, and after everything that's happened now I feel it's best to let the R4 Prototype die. Ubiosft won't have just kept a prototype of a game lying around with the thought "Hey, we should keep this to release to the future at some point!", they would have considered it useless and binned it with the other prototypes. And Legends isn't going to be Wii U exclusive. It said in the trailer "Wii U Exclusive Features", not "Wii U Exclusive", so we're getting Legends too. Like I said above, I'd say that the Prototype is but an insight into what could have been, but who knows? Maybe the end product if that platformer would have come into creation may have been worse than the Rabbids fiasco. Hell, if the original Raving Rabbids had come out we sure as hell wouldn't have had Origins, that's for sure.Mammothphant 2 said:Oh, yeah you meant those files. I have to say that Drolpiraat did an amazing work by trying to dig out R4 prototype for us. But unfortunately the musics were the only openable ones, so the releasing of the game itself its in Ubisofts hands.
Few years ago when Drolpiraat was looking for the files, many who disagree right now the releasing of R4 prototype, wanted the release of it then. What made you change your mind about that? The coming of Rayman Origins? Just asking.
I think the simplest way is that Ubi would JUST RELEASE IT, without improving the graphics or anything else. They probably have the game already, so they just dig it out and port to PC and consoles. That wouldnt waste Ancels time so he could focus on new Rayman games (as well as Beyond Good and Evil 2). To be honest the game could be released the same time with Rayman Legends, because if Rayman Legends is gonna be a Wii U exclusive, then others who dont have Wii U will be not able to play it. The rebirth of the Rayman 4 prototype could be like a gift for those who own other consoles and PCs ad the same time a gift for those who prefer Rayman in 3D (like me).
But as i said before a DVD would be the best if the game isnt going to be released. Or an online playthrough, thats good idea too.
Im not going to change the name of my thread Edditaur.
