All right, have fun with the games Tricai! ^^
Played a little of TF2 today, as pyro and engineer after.

Awesome to see you like Jak and daxter so far, a series right up there with rayman imo. Just to let you know in case you didnt from the second game onwards the games story becomes waaaay more complex and the series goes towards a more darker tone. Some people don't like this but MOST people do like myself, so I would love to hear what you think of number 2 when you get round to playing itEl Dango wrote:Decided to check out Jak and Daxter. Not having played any game in this series while having played Ratchet and Clank and Sly Cooper just feels weird, so it's good to finally get rid of this weird feeling.
USER REVIEW: Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy
So yeah, first one in the series. I'm really liking it so far, especially when it comes to how open it is. It pretty much lets you run around and explore everything at your own pace, completing tasks in any order you want. It's much more difficult than I expected, but that's fine with me, as it treats dying the same way Rayman Origins does, letting you start over immideately while having tons of checkpoints. Only thing that really bugs me is this horrible minigame that I know I will eventually have to complete, which is a real shame. Otherwise though, I've been having a ton of fun with it. It plays well, it's charming and it's fun.
VERDICT: Would recommend!

I actually lied a bit when I said I hadn't played any Jak game before, since I have played a tiny bit of the second one at a friend's house. It was very little though, so I don't really count it.Bzzit wrote:Awesome to see you like Jak and daxter so far, a series right up there with rayman imo. Don't worry, it still has the charm and humor of the first game and a much better cast of charactersEl Dango wrote:I actually lied a bit when I said I hadn't played any Jak game before, since I have played a tiny bit of the second one at a friend's house. In any case, I'm going to finish this one before I get any of the others. About the darker tone, I'll see how I like that, though it really depends on how it's done. If it's like Rayman 2 I won't mind it at all, but if it's like Sonic 2006 or that weird Bomberman game, then it's likely bug me at least a little. But it probably isn't like that if most people really do like it.

Yes, it’s a very good game, but it seems that you and I are the only two people in the world who know about it.Ryouhiko_Ankuu wrote:...Did anyone try playing "Scrapland"?

What a pity.( Really good games are often little-known...spiraldoor wrote:Yes, it’s a very good game, but it seems that you and I are the only two people in the world who know about it.Ryouhiko_Ankuu wrote:...Did anyone try playing "Scrapland"?
