Re: Rayman 4 Bitter Bunnies
Right heres my perspective, Ubisoft is a giant company now, the thought of them making both 2D rayman games and 3D rayman games seems logical ( just like mario does)and would please all rayman fans as there seems to be a split onto which people prefer. I like both of them and am anticipating Legends greatly yet in the back of my mind is that rayman 4 trailer that i saw when I was 11, rayman kicking rabbit like creatures asses, they looked scary and unique not stupid, obnoxious and annoying like these so called "rabbids", the creatures i saw rayman riding on were amazing, what looked like the spider from rayman 2 and an eagle??? Wow it looked awesome, this is why I love rayman theres always surprises and new innovative things added to each installment. then I heard there would have been 3d counterparts of worlds seen in the original rayman, the thought of band land and picture city in 3D is literally the best thing ever... If they brought back old bosses like MR stone and MR sax yet made them be under control and enslaved by the rabbit creatures, would be so cool. the trailer seemed to hint there would be epic set pieces including boss fights, so this to em seems like the perfect new addition for a rayman 3D game. Ly and clark have been absent from the newer rayman games, they would fit perfectly in this game, imagine riding on the back of Clark pounding countless hordes of rabbids with his strength....wow. This game has so much potentional and 3D is a part of rayman as much as 2D is so yes i want to help get this game noticed again and Ubisoft understand that having 2D and 3D rayman games simultaneously like mario would be awesome.

Ubisoft may be a giant company, but Ubisoft Montpellier isn’t. Do we really want an Infinity Ward/Treyarch situation?Bzzit wrote:Right heres my perspective, Ubisoft is a giant company now, the thought of them making both 2D rayman games and 3D rayman games seems logical ( just like mario does)and would please all rayman fans as there seems to be a split onto which people prefer.

Re: Rayman 4 Bitter Bunnies
Youre so right! You mentioned even more reasons why this missing piece of Raymans career should be released. If you have time, read my thoughts as well, that are writed in the beginning of the very first page of this thread. And lets also start planning. As i told, there could be a petition if we would find more people who want R4 back, or we could send a letter to Ubisoft Montpellier and tell Michel Ancel that we care about his cancelled project. If you come up with any ideas, go ahead and tell them.Bzzit wrote:Right heres my perspective, Ubisoft is a giant company now, the thought of them making both 2D rayman games and 3D rayman games seems logical ( just like mario does)and would please all rayman fans as there seems to be a split onto which people prefer. I'm pretty sure they know that we care about the cancelled project.

Re: Rayman 4 Bitter Bunnies
As i said before we could also support that if its totally impossible for Ubi to release Rayman 4, then atleast they would release an official online playthrough of the whole game so we could at least see what the game had been like. Also a DVD and Blu Ray could be good, it would also include intreviews and other Rayman stuff. But of course the best thing would be that the game would be released. If they have the game somewhere, they just need to release it and it wouldnt bother the development of new Rayman games.
Ubisoft released 2 Rayman games the same time in 2005, so i dont think its gonna be too hard to do the same with Legends and 4. Especially when Legends is gonna be only for Wii U, or is it? (How much longer do we have to wait to know Ubi?)
Bzzit, my supporting ideas could work but before we start, i would like to hear if you have any ideas. When yore ready to start just tell me there or send private message. Im ready.
And THEDragon, do you still agree? Youre welcome to join us if you do.

Re: Rayman 4 Bitter Bunnies
You seem to assume Rayman 4 was completed but unreleased. It's rather obvious from the lack of any kind of leaked content, and the fact that what we saw in the trailer were very Raving Rabbids type environments, we can assume that to this day, none of the surreal environments have left the 2D realm of concept art.
Re: Rayman 4 Bitter Bunnies
As much as I support these ideas, and I'd love to see it happen, I doubt Ubisoft has any plans of going back and doing anything with Rayman 4. >_<
Which is a real shame, because it looked really cool!

They may have. They just weren’t part of that particular Rayman 4 project.RayFan9876 wrote:we can assume that to this day, none of the surreal environments have left the 2D realm of concept art.

Re: Rayman 4 Bitter Bunnies
Oh by the way, i forget to tell you this Bzzit, but ill tell it now.
The 3D Valley elements like Picture city were actually going to be in another Rayman project which was in works even before the Rayman Raving Rabbids prototype. It was cancelled as well, but it was actually not developed in any of the Ubi studios but instead a studio called Phoenix.
So yes Rayman 4 and that "Rayman Phoenix are completely different games. The community found out that not long ago.
But im going to support Rayman 4. Rayman Phoenix may havent been a good game if it was not developed by Ubi.
Question for both Bzzit and THEDragon: Do you live in France? Im asking this because if you would, then it would be easier to send a letter for Ubisoft Montpellier. I live in Finland.

It was? I don't ever remember that being the case. If it was though, please enlighten me.Mammothphant 2 wrote:O[The 3D Valley elements like Picture city were actually going to be in another Rayman project which was in works even before the Rayman Raving Rabbids prototype.

Re: Rayman 4 Bitter Bunnies
Few months ago some new pictures of that Rayman Phoenix were found and posted to... sorry i dont remember what thread it was, but anyway, as new info came, the community found out that it was not the same game as R4(RRR prototype). Some started to call that Phoenix project R4, but i still call the RRR prototype R4. https://raymanpc.com/wiki/en/Rayman_4_% ... ototype%29RayFan9876 wrote:It was? I doubt they were two separate projects. It just looks as if one transformed into the other.

And to be honest, I liked the look of 'Rayman Phoenix' more than Rayman 4, but maybe that's just my love of the Valley.

Howabout you Bzzit? Are you also more on Rayman Phoenixs side? Im still on R4s.
Re: Rayman 4 Bitter Bunnies
I still support R4, but I am just wondering if Ubisoft would actually listen to our pleas to have it further worked on.

Re: Rayman 4 Bitter Bunnies
I don't really see what R4 has to offer in comparison to the Phoenix production. The Phoenix production was more creative in every way possible; the only thing R4 had against it were... BUNNIES.

Re: Rayman 4 Bitter Bunnies
@ Bzzit and THEDragon: Is it okay to you if we send a letter, which has writings from each of us and our names in the end? We could also mention that we would want to see the Valley again in some other future Rayman game that will be made by Ubi instead of Phoenix studio. I dont think we should support that Phoenix project, because that Phoenix studio probably hasnt the rights of Rayman any more. But Rayman 4 could be released because it belongs for Ubisoft.
I can make the letter and post it and pay all the post costs.

Re: Rayman 4 Bitter Bunnies
Not to sound mean here or anything Mammoth, but God. If I had a penny for every time I facedesked over your constant thoughts that Rayman 4 was still in the Ubisoft offices in a complete (Or even incomplete) state, I'd be a fucking millionaire by now. Honestly, I have to get this message across to you.
Ubisoft no longer has the Rayman 4 Prototype. No game, no files, nothing. It isn't kept in some vault in Michael Ancel's basement, it isn't anywhere other than on the RRR discs. It just isn't there anymore. And you know what that means? It also means that an "official video walkthrough" of the game to see what it would have been like is also not possible, because the prototype no longer exists. How is it possible, in any way shape or form, that Ubisoft would keep a cancelled project fully intact from where they left it off from, in the hopes that they could one day release it?
All I'm saying here is, the release of Rayman 4 will never happen. Or at least, the release of that Rayman 4 will never happen. Don't be calling on any interview quotes either, because while Ancel may make a new Rayman game "similar to the R4 Prototype", it won't be running on the same engine, it won't contain the same music, and after the Rabbids fiasco and the likeliness of a backlash from fans, it probably won't contain any bunnies either. I'm sorry if this sounds harsh Mammoth, but if this doesn't get the message across to you, then I don't know what will. This is the end. The Rayman 4 Prototype won't happen. End of. Please. No more torture.
