Vacation? Alert us!

Beware of California though, it's really, really freaking hot at this time of year, but it's still very scenic and a great place to visit.
Pfft, It's 41 degrees Celsius here.

This isn't so much a vacation but just an inactivity warning: we've decided that we're going to switch ISPs so from today we've been cut off and right now I'm using my neighbour's internet; not sure how long this is going to take plus the only other means of getting on the internet would be when I go round my boyfriend's (library computers block most gaming websites but not DA, Twitter and Facebook).

I'm back to Portugal, I arrived yesterday night in Lisbon's airport and the trip went fine... except for my traveling trolley that wasn't in the arrivals belt. I had to contact the Lost and Found and I'll be waiting for more news about it. My 4th trip and the first time this happens :tssk:.

Aww that's too bad, hope that gets returned to you. :( At least it goes missing when you arrive home and not when you arrive on holiday...

Hey guys, internet was unavailable for a while.

It wasn't so bad in LA when we arrived. It was nighttime by the time we came out of the airport and the day following it was not as hot as we expected. Yesterday we did have a very hot day as we drove to Death Valley and Bad Water. Steaming 42 degrees and scorching sun. We were not allowed to stay out for more than 15 minutes at a time. After visiting DV we continued to Las Vegas and did a night tour. Amazing!

Today we visited Zion national park and Bryce Canyon. Both beautiful places and so far the best thing we have seen. Mom is still having a hard time believing we're actually here, and realized she wants to make more trips like this more often with me and my brother together. I approve of this.

We are in Kanab now, and tomorrow we visit the Grand Canyon after which we go to Williams. I must say we are both suffering from giftshop sickness.

I've never been to Bryce Canyon, it looks quite spiky!

And giftshop sickness eh? I hope no one in your family is obsessed with that stuff. Being stuck with someone who is is about the most traumatising ordeal anyone will ever have to put up with.

Your trip is identical to the one I did in 2007. :o

One of the worst sicknesses around. Thing is, if you visit 20 only 1 will actually sell anything to your family.

Good news, my luggage arrived today back to my home. I'm much more relieved now that I know it didn't get lost.

Whew. I'm back you guys. It's like 4 midnight back in LA so I'm beat. But I'm not gonna nap just yet. It's difficult right now. If I sit here my eyelids get heavy and when I lay in bed I can't close a single one. So that's what a jet lag is like.

Welcome back :)

Small update: Plane food still sucks as much as it always have, and waiting for several hours in an airport isn't much fun either.

Otherwise though I had a nice trip. :)

Mhm. I spend 7 hours waiting with heavy jet lag. An uncharged 3DS and an old laptop with 8 minutes of power didn't make it much more fun either.

Plane food is actually complex to make for various reasons. Ex : food won't taste the same depending on altitude.
