Woah! Rayman Origins all over again!
Ok, I understand your rage at RL for supposedly being Wii U exclusive, but why the rage at RO? It came out on all 3 current-gen consoles and PC.

I'm not raged at anything, but I was just saying that RO was originally thought to be a Playstation and Xbox exclusive, no PC or Wii. Right now we have the same thing happening with RL.

Rayman 1 and Rayman 2 have simple and coherent stories. Defeat the villains and save your friends from them.

Rayman 3's story is embarrassingly stupid. Globox swallows a guy with an irritating voice and you have to escort him to a doctor and then escort him to a doctor and then escort him to a doctor.

Rayman Origins's story is minimalistic to the point of confusion, yet somehow it also manages to be overly complicated. The Livid Dead, the Bubble Dreamer's nightmares, the four kings, the Moody Clouds, the Magician. There is far too much going on and none of it really connects.

I love R3s story for the same reason you dont like it. Setting out for an adventure in which the antagonist is in your friends belly is a unique and very funny. You have to save the world but the same time take care of your best buddy XD. The story also continues in a great way, after you deal with the doctors. I like that how a conflicting hospital travelling suddenly transforms into an epic quest to save the world from an extremely tough badass.

The GamesCon is coming in seven days, which could mean a new trailer for Rayman Legends. Ubisoft, I beg of you, give us a new announcement for Rayman Legends!

I mean that usually in games the antagonist is somewhere far far away in his castle or hideout or stronghold and the hero has to travel a lot to reach to him. In R3 this concept has turned upside down. Andre the big baddy is right next to you until the end of the desert of the Knaaren.

I'm sure there have been like stories where the villain somehow is with the hero's party.

I dont think there are many stories in which the baddy is inside the heros best friends stomach and forces him to drink plum juice. Or if there is some similar in some other game, tell me examples.

I like R3's story for the same reason Mammothphant does; I like the way it all links together and evolves into something big.

Yes, this structure is common. That's because it actually works. Placing the antagonist in command of a distant stronghold creates a sense of menace and anticipation. Do you think Star Wars would have been better if the Emperor had spent the first two films in Chewbacca's stomach?

Yes, and he provides us with a constant stream of great comedy, including fart jokes, snot jokes and butt jokes – you know, the things that made us love the first two Rayman games so much.

I could come up with a similarly specific set of elements to describe any game, so clearly this does not make Rayman 3 unique or special.

Could you elaborate on this?

Once again i agree with you RayFan9876. Rayman 3 had Actually a Original and Ridiculous/Funny Storyline. And I think Globox is Kinda Funny in That one too. RO kinda ruined him for me. He does look so much dumber than he did in R3 and R2

Wouldn't have said it better.

In my opinion, Rayman Origins' story is dumb, not because it's too simple, but because it tries REALLY hard to be mysterious and complicated, when all of the plot is focused on goofy characters in a goofy world, which is, in other words, the perfect place for a simple yet substancial plot. Instead of making you wonder what's going on and make you do your own investigations (like Limbo), the game is presented in a childish and "crazy" way, making it clear that there's nothing deeper than what you actually see on screen: an evil teensy traitor and a bunch of crazy characters dancing on the screen... oh, and who cares about the grannies, they're not part of the story, they were added just for the lolz. It was a torture for the fans trying to figure out what's really going on.

I know right. But we shouldn't blame origins story so quickly. I have been rethinking. I Believe The Story Will Be Better And Perhaps Answered or some it in Legends.

But thats what i think. But if not. The Story in Origins is Simply Dumb

I barely heard critiques about Sony's PlayStation Move, for example. It is curious.

I really don't find the Rayman 3: Hoodlum Havoc story anything of other world but between Rayman Origins and Rayman 3, Rayman 3: Hoodlum Havoc has got minimum coherence, while RO almost has no story and it is really confusing in the end of the game. I admit that during my walkthrough recording for YouTube, when I arrived to the Infernal Kitchen I felt like "Why I walked from a Jungle to a kitchen with Mariachi Lums to find for Electoons? What am I doing in here?". It was more normal to me in Rayman 1 jumping from bongo to bongo and beat up grasshoppers than beating up grannies in the Land of the Livid Dead.

Personal advice: if you want to enjoy a liiiiiiiiittle more R3HH, play the game in French version. The voices are better.
