Re: Rayman Legends
This stage is probably the first Platforming Hero level, looks like the easiest one yet. And the music is eargasming.
EDIT: One more thing:
It's the same song and half of the Platforming Hero songs are licenced.

Re: Rayman Legends
^ Woah... that's a surprise, tho I'm still not disappointed, I think they did a good job adapting it to Rayman's universe, I mean, again, the momentum!! and the gibberish of the Lividstones was so hilarious!
BTW: I think the easiest musical level is (ironically) the Land of The Livid Dead.

Re: Rayman Legends
That...was incredible, I loved it and the same time, was laughing hard.
If these are to replace the Tricky Treasure chases, they certainly picked a good replacement.
All my envy to those who get this on the Wii U.

Re: Rayman Legends
I think the big thing about these levels is that they want to give some good replay value, so if you want to listen to the music synchronized with the armony of the slaps and explosions, you must play the level again. With an OP playable Murphy, it's clear that the regular levels are gonna be a little harder, pretty comparable to the Tricky Treasure levels, which are apparently absent. A good example is the level Swarmed Dangerous, you must be careful with the Lava Darkroots as the platforms keep collapsing, and there's no return. I hope this speculation becomes true; knowing that all of the enemies (even the ones with a shield and the ones that look like Clark) have only one hit point was dissappointing.

I hope this game lowers the pace, RO sometimes was a bit too Sonic for my liking.

Re: Rayman Legends
The new gameplay looks and sounds fun. There should also be rhythm levels with heavy metal.
Why cant they show any boss battles? The official site of RL said that bosses have a big role in the game, so they should show some.

If that's the case, they probably don't want to spoil these bosses, so we can experience them ourselves.

Re: Rayman Legends
I really don't like the music in that level... it doesn't fit in a Rayman game I think. If Rayman Legends is going to be full of these rock songs I don't like it.

At first I felt that way about the hickish-jawharp music in Rayman Origins, but I grew to like it.

This question is for anyone who considers him/herself a real Rayman fan...

What does fit in a Rayman game?

Re: Rayman Legends
As we all know, the Rayman series has only had one very specific style, which it has stuck to since the very beginning. The idea that this style could ever change in the slightest is downright absurd!

Re: Rayman Legends
After a period of intense prayer and meditation, I have devised a mathematical formula which pinpoints the heart of the Rayman series.

Ingenius.
I don't know why, but I'm much more compelled to laugh at things today...

Re: Rayman Legends
Well, I think everybody agrees with that formula.
I think the fact that it will be a Wii U exclusive for now made me lose some enthusiasm for Rayman Legends. I think Ubisoft needs to do a lot to amuse me again.

Re: Rayman Legends
Rayman is about Fun not about Epic.
If you can a epic game play BGE....
(almost everybody on this forum seems to have forget that).
It will come for the other consoles (and PC maybe), just some time later...

Yeah you're done for.MasterHero wrote:Rayman is about Fun not about Epic.
I just watched the trailer, and... ew, sorry, it just looks awful. I mean I like the concept of the enemies beating to the rhythm (it was quite neat in NSMB), but the music is just horrid (except for that one okay passage from 1:20 - 1:38). I like the scenery art style quite a bit more than Origins', but it also seems like Legends is geared toward such a young audience, so much so that I felt embarrassed playing the trailer through my speakers and I grabbed the nearest pair of headphones.

Re: Rayman Legends
I must be part of the young audience .-. I mean... I really liked the rock adaptation for Rayman Legends, I mean, it's not that bad. Maybe it doesn't fit the medieval environment, yeah, but come on! I think it's more about fun.

Re: Rayman Legends
I just see this series as something that could be so much more than what they're making it to be.

Re: Rayman Legends
They're trying to make Rayman a little more attractive, I guess... sadly,a regular fantasy game with a cute plot is not enough to appeal gamers
... specially this generation of kids.
Nowadays, Rayman Origins is bought by people that don't even know shit about Rayman but like it because it's fun. You must know this, but developers want money, and if "Crazy Rayman" makes great sales, they will still be making games like that. I would criticize it like Call of Duty, but I can't, because the fantasy and the innocence may be camouflaged by the rock that they're proposing, but they're still offering a product of quality, specially if you compare it with today's platformers, like NSMB U.
