Yeah, it's a lot of money to just read the game's no longer exclusive. Ubisoft helped Nintendo sell some more Wii U copies though. Starting to think if, since they get on so well, that was the plan? Just a random though however. I hope not.

And to think, I bought a PS3 mainly for Origins. Don't regret any of that, but I best not to take that risk again.

I'm not too fussed about this really. It's not the first time one of these games has been pushed back, and there are probably legitimate business reasons for it. It's inconvenient but a couple of years from now nobody will care. If some people want to starve themselves to death over this, well, whatever. See you on another plane of existence.

Much more interesting is the announcement that the game's gone multiplatform. I don't think my family will be getting a Wii U any time soon, so I'll probably get it on PS3, or maybe hold off for the inevitable PC release.

People like you are the reason why this kind of shit happens. Congratulations, your "much more interesting announcement" will make thousands of people boycott Ubisoft, even when the main developers aren't guilty of this. Also, if we count games like GTA V and the upcoming Nintendo games, Rayman Legends will have poor sales. Maybe you don't care, but there are tons of Wii U owners out there that were disappointed by this.

Other consoles work on entirely different ways of handling games and other programs. Not only do you have to change certain paths like where to look for user data, but possibly you also need to alter key parts of your code to make the other console understand what you're trying to tell it. This is why ports can have glitches that the original game did not - they have to change their code and this can result in unforeseen errors (glitches) in the new game (the port).

Let's make things clear... I love Rayman games, but I'm not fanboyish enough to let ubisoft make fun of people who were waiting for this game. If you're defending Rayman even after this situation, that's okay, I'm not. However, as I said before, I'm not trying to reach the limits of madness... I'm not boycotting Ubisoft or even the Rayman franchise... I just want my Wii U and MY release date to be respected. I'll just release all of my rage on U-Play's miiverse and ubisoft's email, just like everyone else.

Real talk, I know developers didn't plan this. I know if people keep acting like that and ubisoft decides not to make any change, the game won't sell, and the developers will have lost their time, work and money. However, there's the possibility that ubisoft notices this rage and turns the game back to it's original release date. I mean, there are more people who hate this news than people who actually like it. It's risky, but at least I'm trying to do something.

Anyone who attempts industrial action over something as trivial as a delay to facilitate a video game port is an idiot. Thankfully the vast majority of the children and casual gamers who constitute the game's target demographic won't even hear of this delay, and those that do will correctly regard it as a minor disappointment and temporary inconvenience rather than an actionable offence. It's not like the boycotters are actually going to boycott the game anyway – they're going to discard their silly principles the minute it comes out. They always do.

I'm more inclined to trust Ubisoft's marketing department than you in this instance. Their job is to make sure that Rayman Legends sells well, whereas yours is... whatever it is you do. If they think it makes financial sense to delay the completed Wii U version to coincide with the multiplatform release and unify the advertisement campaigns, they are probably right. If it's as simple as "delays = poor sales", why would they throw away money like that? I don't know where you got that idea, but I suspect there may be some butthurt fanboy agenda in the mix.

Sorry, maybe you aren't checking the internet properly, and you're ignoring the upcoming Wii U games, like the newest Mario Kart, that kids will prefer over Rayman Legends. Those "poor souls" are costumers. They deserve respect, and they're buying the game used and not playing any ubisoft games for the rest 3 years. The hunger strike is stupid, I admit that, but you should consider the rest of the people who are actually trying to take down Ubisoft.

Calm down. If your feathers are so ruffled over this, Sergio, there are better places to take your bitching. Places where Ubisoft might actually see what you're saying, among the sea of other people riled up about the delay. There's even petitions going around with the intention of trying to get them to revert back to the Wii U's original release date you could be signing right now instead of riddling the thread with shitty non-memes and pointing the finger at other people.

I still don't think this was a good choice to make on Ubi's part entirely because it doesn't seem like it will benefit them financially. In the midst of me worrying for the sales on Legends, I nearly forgot New 'N' Tasty was coming out around the new release date. As much as I love Rayman, there are other games coming out around that time that take priority. I'm probably not even going to be able to go out and purchase it until late next year at the earliest with this release date. Others are going to have this same problem. I've got my fingers crossed hoping Ubisoft reconsiders, and if they don't I'm hoping that I'm wrong and it sells just fine when it finally is released.

joking aside, It was going to happen. Ubisoft delayed it so they can fix up compatibility problems with the Xbox/PS3 versions. They have to take out Murfy, who plays a gimmicky role on the Wii U that you would have to use him to solve puzzles with the touchscreen. They gotta modify those spots for the PS3 and Xbox 360.

Plus we don't want glitches everywhere if it was rushed. I rather have it in September than now and find out it's like Sonic 06, a game that was rushed to get out there and has tons of problems.

I predict that the Xbox 360/ PS3 versions of the game won't have the 10% of gameplay that the Wii U will have. Therefore, some levels (more importantly, Murphy levels) will be removed, and some features from other levels (like the ability to tickle enemies and pull out veggies) will be removed. Some other stuff will probably be taken out and replaced by regular platforms, like the spinning wheel that is controlled with the gamepad's gyroscope.

Makes me wonder... will Murphy have a different role in the game? maybe the exact same role that he had in Rayman Origins? (announce things that nobody cares about) or will he be completely removed from the story?

Sergio, I'm sorry but I'm at Spiral's side in here, I don't see why you are bitching after him. If I hadn't a Wii U I would also like to see the game in other game consoles, I'm also a son of god/Polokus (I was worried about the exclusivity before a familiar making me the late Xmas surprise). On the other hand when I was thinking if buying my PS3 for Origins was a bad idea, now it doesn't seem that bad. Now I don't deny I will not consider getting the PS3 version too. I also own other games in PS3, not just RO. I'm happy to know that more people can play the game. And as I said before concerning the boycott:

Myself, I survived to 8 years of wait for a new Rayman game, while there are people that think the world is going to end just because of a 7 months delay. They would die under my skin in less than 1 year then during the wait of a 4th Rayman game. If it isn't now that I'm going to play the game its later, I don't care as long as I'm able to play it. I know you came much later to the community but try to wait 8 years like I did. I'm still alive. Aren't also other games out there to play until then? For me there are, and this delay only helps me more.

Yes, I have knowledge of the games that are coming, I'm also interested in New N Tasty but I would be more in the side of the complaining people if they at least weren't saying bullshit like "Rayman is dead" and used some logic. Afterall if they also decided to buy the console many months before the release of the game its their problem. Why not buying when it gets launched? It isn't like Wii Us and RLs would sold out in a finger snap.

I think its you that inside RPC is feeling most butthurt because of the delay. You even are posting memes and almost ranting alone. Why not relaxing? Its nothing personal but, don't you think you should calm down? Everybody will eventually forget about the delay when September arrives. I give less than 6 months.
