Adult themes in Rayman 3

Huh, I must have missed that. I prefer the usage of innuendo over bleep then, it's just a bit more modest.

Thinking of it, tons of bleep in French cartoons, animes and games, but people are not so shocked about it, because several French movies have played with it, showing that people don't really mind , but indeed not using bleeps is more appreciated.

Bleeps are annoying. It's time that this world realizes that Games and Cartoons should not be censored.

Sometimes the bleeps work to a better effect than actual swearing does.
'Sides, although we here are at a more adult age, the majority of Rayman players are probably kids, so I think they're kindof justified in this case.

In Japan for example. Blood and basic swearing is often seen in Shounen Anime. Shounen is for ages 10 and up.

Fair enough, though I'd assume there's cultural differences here and there.
However, many Rayman games are rated 3+, I've got a cousin who plays Rayman games and he's 7 years old, I don't think it'd be appreciated if the subtlety of R3 was turned to blatancy.

Honestly, I have some major issues with this aspect of Rayman 3. It's just so out of place in the Rayman world. Maybe in Ratchet and Clank or the Jak games, but in Rayman 3 it just felt so... Tasteless. Regairdless, I love the game and there WAS some great stuff in it. I just wish the localization team was smarter about thier humor.

which is unfortunate, since all of it made me laugh my ass off as a kid. still does actually. since i've started learning french 3 years ago, i decided to play R3 in french, and that was pretty funny.

They censored a lot of it in Rayman 3 HD, though.
I still call that bullshit. It makes no sense. I am pretty sure censoring is less needed today. It would make more sense if they censored it in 2003 when parents in America were always complaining about video games and anime.

Bump: I was playing Rayman Origins on my PS3, when I freed the fairy in the sea world a got a trophy: "Mehr-oder Wenigerjungfrau" which is "More or less virigin" translated to english.

Yeah...

Oh lol, seriously? That's pretty silly.

I don't know if it has been mentioned but I remember Murphy saying something along the lines of "I wanted a good job, high pay and to fall in love with a girl, with great big... eyes..." in Rayman 3.

My favourite line as a kid.
