Re: The Emulation Thread
Me and Haruka managed to run Dreamcast version on Emulator. I am also sure more people on RPC did it as well. Make sure to download right version since many versions are not ripped good. To make dreamcast game work on Emulator, it must be both ripped with broadband adapter and then cracked. Really complicated.

Re: The Emulation Thread
Would it work if I insert an original disc? If not so where can I obtain a working image file? It would be also very useful if you would write a report to it.
Re: The Emulation Thread
I think the ROM must be cracked too.
Re: The Emulation Thread
No because PC cannot read GD-ROM formatemshomar wrote:Would it work if I insert an original disc? If not so where can I obtain a working image file? It would be also very useful if you would write a report to it.
You know what, I will write full report how to configure Dreamcast Emulator and where to get cracked Rayman 2 for Dreamcast. How about that idea Omar?

Re: The Emulation Thread
Very, VERY few disc drives can actually read a GD-ROM on a computer and even if it did it's complicated. I tried it with mine and can't do it that way.
Re: The Emulation Thread
Yeah, I remember when I sent you link hoping it would work, but even if it did, it would still not play on emulator since game was not cracked, and I don't know how to do it.
I am gonna upload pre configured emulator with some of my games (including Rayman 2) so that people can play them. Since it will be pre configured, and I won't be writing configuration for emulator, I know I will not get tings for this report, but I want to make this easy for everyone since I know that Omar is not the only one with the problem (I know some people that are not from RPC and they need help too). Plus I was never doing this for tings only, but because I truly wanted to help people since I am good person.

Re: The Emulation Thread
It may be wise to share the configuration anyways, seeing as some may already have the emulator.
Re: The Emulation Thread
Here is my Rayman 2 Dreamcast Report:

Emulator: NullDC 1.0.4
Works?: Yes.
Reported by: OldClassicGamer
Notes: Some minor graphical glitches, nothing speciall
Links (ISO)
http://thepiratebay.sx/torrent/6236783/ ... _NTSC-U_SB
Setup instructions (NullDC 1.0.4):
1 - "Open nullDC_Win32_Release-NoTrace.exe"
2 - Click Options, NullDC Settings, and check these: Auto Hide Menu, Enable Dynrec, Enable CP Pass, For cable type, use last one on the bottom, System Region I recommand JAP or USA since NTSC is faster then PAL, and select Broadcast Format as NTSC
3- Click Options and then Select Plugins. Choose these Plugins:

4 - Click Options, Power VR, Resolution is maximum supported, Aspect Ratio is stretched, Palleted Textures are dynamic and full, set Sort on Per strip but if you have slower computer then set put it on off, Modifier Volumes are Normal and Clip, for Z Buffer mode, choose the first one, Texture chache mode, use delete old.
5 - Click Options, Aica and limit Speed and Sync audio.
7 -Click Options, click Mapple and configure keys how you would like.
8 - Click file, and normal boot, and click No Disk. Dreamcast Bios Menu will Run. Click on File, and format memory card. Exit Emulator and open it again. Run the game you wish, in this Case Rayman 2.
9 - Enjoy the game

Re: The Emulation Thread
:/ I am sorry to tell you. The torrent link is dead. no seeders! But I've found a workaround using Utopia Boot Disc v1.1. That worked and I am very happy to play the best Rayman 2 version (except Rayman Revolution).OldClassicGamer wrote:Hopefully it will work
Re: The Emulation Thread
You are joking right? Torrent has 4 seeders and everyone can see it if they go on page.

Re: The Emulation Thread
I have just some byte downspeed. (That'd take more then 3 weeks downloading!!!) I can play now Rayman 2 anyway so I don't care now
Re: The Emulation Thread
It downloaded for 1 hour for me
But I am glad you found different way.

Re: The Emulation Thread
I am very impressed about the emulator that works very fluent and nearly laggfree by not using the decent graphic card
EDIT: LoL, I now get some seeders.
EDIT2: Saving does not seem to work. Had a Dreamcast build in storage or a memory card?

Re: The Emulation Thread
How horrible does your GPU have to be to not be able to run an emulator? In 2006, my old nVidia 6150 LE (a very bad card for even back then) had no trouble running most emulators, and was able to run Dolphin at about 20 FPS.emshomar wrote:I am very impressed about the emulator that works very fluent and nearly laggfree by not using the decent graphic card

Re: The Emulation Thread
I was just trying to say that this emulator does not lagg and runs very fluent on 60FPS by not using my GTX660M instead the weak Intel HD 4000. When I play Rayman Revolution on that PCSX2 emulator it just get into little slowmos or laggs in some places like the first Map the bridge while using my decent card the GTX660M.Adsolution wrote:How horrible does your GPU have to be to not be able to run an emulator? Re: The Emulation Thread
@OCG Thanks for your report, I've transfered 500 Tings.
I'll just ask for something: next time, please use the smallest logos possible, don't use super big ones!

Re: The Emulation Thread
Try a 5 year old IGP, that doesn't do the job well, though I admit, it does manage to induce a somewhat playable framerate, but it isn't decent enough to make gameplay enjoyable.
Re: The Emulation Thread
@Haruka Okay, I will not use big logos anymore. They just happen to be the first ones I find but I will search for smaller ones
and thanks for tings, I did not think I did good job on report but I appriciate that you liked it
