I don't think they mentioned the direction.
Re: The Pirate-Community Documentary
Rulez must have 50 fingertips.

How come
Re: The Pirate-Community Documentary
Because you type fast in a phone.

Re: The Pirate-Community Documentary
And what about Master!
Re: The Pirate-Community Documentary
I suppose I do. I was pretty fast last year despite using a smartphone.
Re: The Pirate-Community Documentary
Master must have visited Fukushima to be able to type fast in a phone too!
Re: The Pirate-Community Documentary
This is my first record day I participated in without using the smart phone at all

Re: The Pirate-Community Documentary
I've used my phone for last years as well, but only as a secondary during the lag at the end, so I could get through it more quickly, and when my laptop overheated halfway.
Hmm, now that the day is done, I believe we should add the details of yesterday, but let's wait for the results, I think some spectacular things happened this time, perhaps they too, may warrant mention.

Re: The Pirate-Community Documentary
I don't really see the significance of typing fast on a phone. As long as you have something responsive like an iPhone, Galaxy or Lumia, it's quite easy to type and browse fairly quickly.Haruka wrote:Master must have visited Fukushima to be able to type fast in a phone too!

Re: The Pirate-Community Documentary
Mine was an Arc S, it was responsive enough, but it got really hot, crashed about 5 times, lagged like hell in getting the keyboard up, and I'm nowhere near as efficient with touch keyboards, particularly on a small space like on a smartphone.
All these factors severely hindered my capability to post as well as I did on my laptop.

Re: The Pirate-Community Documentary
I'm alright with touch keyboards, but certainly not as fast at typing with them as some of my friends are. With Blackberry keyboards though, I can type blazingly fast, probably somewhere around 65 WPM if I recall correctly.

If I had a Blackberry, I'd be calling Bullshit right now.Adsolution wrote:I'm alright with touch keyboards, but certainly not as fast at typing with them as some of my friends are. With Blackberry keyboards though, I can type blazingly fast, probably somewhere around 65 WPM if I recall correctly.

Mmmm, why's that?
Re: The Pirate-Community Documentary
I'm assuming you understood my joke because you're a smart, intelligent person

65 WPM on a phone is pretty good, I'm a slow typer on phone.

Re: The Pirate-Community Documentary
By the way, if anybody wants a link to Dingodile expressing his hate for Acarr, I have it:
viewtopic.php?p=412627#p412627
Also, I think the bit about Spiraldoor's news writing style in 2009 uses a "-" (dash) rather than the correct "~" (tilde). Either that, or my eyes aren't calibrated to this monitor.
EDIT: Yep, guess not!

Re: The Pirate-Community Documentary
Oh yeah, I'd forgotten I used to use tildes to punctuate postscript thoughts. That was so silly, especially when MLII started copying it on other sites. (And that's a hyphen – this is a dash.)PluMGMK wrote:Also, I think the bit about Spiraldoor's news writing style in 2009 uses a "-" (dash) rather than the correct "~" (tilde).
