Yeah, that is curious indeed, considering you love Rayman 1 now.
Yes, I found the bug-eyes and the way the scenery danced like in a fairytale quite... Unsettling, back then. :fou:

So just a moment ago, I fired up DOSbox and played that game I always talk about for the first time in a very long time. It took me a while to figure out how to run it, a process I had forgotten, but when I looked at the manual on the disc it gave simple instructions on how to run the game. :D Turns out I had two save files, one named LOL and the other named NO.

LOL
NO

So anyways, I played through Pink Plant Woods again because I was still getting used to the controls again and I was probably grinding for tings and lives where I last left off. Then I went to Mr Stone's Peaks where I flew around for a bit then got hit by an antitoon and was reminded of that quirky little yelp noise Rayman makes when he gets hurt. Then I went to Eraser Plains, walked to the edge of the first platform, went NOPE NOPE NOPE and walked back out of that level.

I find it bizarre how Rayman's 'hurt' noise plays when the game is exited. :S It's like quitting physically hurts him or something.

Does that in the PS1 version too.
Anyways, I too just went back into Rayman 1, just got out of Bongo Hills, forgot how unforgiving it was compared to Dream Forest, still, I think that's the first time I got past Bongo Hills without losing a continue, progress!

It would have took you just maybe 5 minutes if you just scrolled down this english Rayman section on this forum :hinhin:

Oh. :oops2:
Well, at least I know now, and the manual has a reminder if I ever forget. :)

If I didn't understood it, you have on your Rayman manual how to run Rayman on Windows XP and newer right? What pack do you own?

It seems nobody bidded for Mega Patch.
Eeehhh I wasn't intending that at all! I actually intended the Mega Patch thread. I don't mind if noone one who bidded yet.

Does anybody have downloaded "Rayengine" here? I just checked it out and want to see how it works.

I started a Rayman for PC walkthrough. :D Parts 1-15 should upload by tomorrow if my Internet doesn't crap out again.

I'm using Mega Patch for the walkthrough, and I'm enjoying the lack of sound bugs. :P
