No, because then I wouldn't see it on 360 challenges, online things doesn't cross each others online as far as I know.

Definitely better than the menu-based system in Rayman 3, but not nearly as good as the Hall of Doors or the original's world map. There sure is a lot of content in Legends, but sadly a lot of it isn't very compelling.
Fully agreed.

Quoted for truth. The golden era of Ubisoft had this logotype, and I still think it was by far the best logo of the company.

Sure you get, i got only diamond cups in every challenge since 30th August, but i still have only 4934 points and the last level is at 6000 points. And i doubt someone got the game 2 weeks earlier than the release date.
Actually it is very possible that someone got the game 2 weeks early. Maybe that person works at Ubisoft for all we know.

And that is why Rayman 3 will be my favorite Rayman game.

Trying to add Esperou doesn't work, he reject all invitations he gets. A guy on my friend list once added him and got accepted, but when he talked to him, he got deleted.

Wow, I'm out five hours, and the conversation suddenly streams.
spiraldoor wrote:The "8-bit" levels are baffling. A throwback to the 32-bit consoles on which Rayman originated would have been great, but by going back another two generations the developers seem to be trying to bypass Rayman players in favour of Mario ones. That might have been acceptable if they'd done a half-decent job of it, but the headache-inducing, grainy fishbowl filter they've plastered over the 1080p graphics is bizarre and not satisfying at all. Am I supposed to play through all of these without dying? No thanks.
Each 8 bit level has its own filter applied, I think the fishbowl reappears in Gloo Gloo and in the final 8 bit Grannies World Tour.
The worst effect to me is the one used in Orchestral Chaos, the flashing really hurts after a while. The 8 bit levels in general use these "nostalgic" filters to purposely make the levels harder than the first time, add in the lack of checkpoints, and I think it becomes more of a memorisation fest, which is a little aggravating indeed, I concur with everyone saying that if they wanted to throwback, they should have done so in regards with the series, not gaming in general.

2D Madness and 2D Nighmare may have been a little rough around the edges, but the fake difficulty and lazy filters of Legends's "8-bit" levels really highlights what a thoughtful and sincere tribute they were.

You nostalgia blind ass face, that logo is generic and wouldn't be able to fit on Rayman's shirt. The only reason you even give a shit about the logo is because you want everything to be like it was when you were a kid.

Also, I'm almost at level 11, I have no idea what Rayrobi was talking about when he says it's impossible to get to.

I guess that I'm also a nostalgia blind ass face, although I think you should have been more polite and more rational about your reply.

I would enjoy more the current Ubisoft logo if it happened to have more soul on it.

I'm going to defy the norm here, while the Ubi logo of old holds many dear memories to me, I do like the modern logo, it seems more suited to the common designs of today, and I did like the little intro they had with it when they initially used it:

Of course, they use this now:

Which I don't like to the same extent as the previous one, but I still don't mind looking at it everytime I boot up a UbiSoft game.

Or maybe – here's an astonishing thought – I actually think that the rainbow-coloured arc is a more charming symbol than the cold blue swirl, and that working it into the UbiRay costume would be a fitting tribute to the history of the series.

You have a terrible attitude. Stop responding to criticisms of your beloved Rayman Legends with incoherent personal attacks. When you grow up you'll look back on these posts and dearly wish that you could take them back.

I prefer the new logo. I'm a sucker for modernisation though.

It reminds me of the post-RO discussions that existed and a minor people that praised RO felt overly offended by the game's criticism by the remaining community.

Replaying the music levels and their 8-bit counterparts I really wish they had made a special stage in the final world based on the precipice. The style of these levels would have suited it perfectly; fast paced, cannons firing and structures collapsing to the music, aswell as smashing the occasional cage as you go like in the original. Seeing the pirate ships and maybe even robot pirates in this art-style would have been cool too.

So much this, that'd be completely awesome, and fit well with the nostalgic theme, seeing the robot pirates again after a decade would certainly have been a nice throwback indeed.

I've never thought about it until now, but the Precipice is kind of a primordial example of all the rapid-paced collapse-a-thon chase levels in Origins and Legends. It seems really obvious when you think about the levels where the heroes are chased by flying ships shooting helicopter bombs. I wonder if it was a major influence?

Nostalgia is awesome. Deal with it 8)
And plus the old logo still looked better anyways.

Anyways, today I talked with friend irl about Origins and Legends and he said he finds Origins much better. He kept saying Legends has terrible mechanics and controls compared to Origins. Does anyone think here on RPC that controls are different. Like a jumping mechanics...

I still believe that R2 was a source of inspiration for levels like Pirate's Treasure! in RO.

Hm, no, I never drew up that similarity whatsoever, but bringing it up, it does make quite a bit of sense actually.
